Ross Wilson was a pretty keg cog in the last decent team Alabama had. The 2010 squad that went to a super regional.

So it was Dunbar, then it wasn't Dunbar, now it's Dunbar again. What happened to the shocking hire?

Saw where one said contract negotiations hit a snag with Rocker. Who knows if it's true or not.

Many years in the pros. Has had good DL units under his direction. The Bills head coach cut him as a scapegoat.

Saying someone had a mediocre bat under Gaspard is redundant. We simply don't hit under him period. Wilson might have been a solid baseball prospect, for all we know. But he wasn't going to be developed offensively under Gaspard.

VERY happy with either Dunbar or Rocker. Both are home runs, IMO. Dunbar will take up where Bo left off in terms of player development.

True, and it's not like Bo was killing it recruiting anyway, even white playing dirty

Bo did a pretty good job, but he was given responsibility for a couple that weren't his. Terrell Hall was mostly Lupoi.

One difference in this year's recruiting is that Kiffin is being allowed to finally recruit. He was on "probation" this past year, and had to be escorted around by Alex Mortensen on what very few occasions he was allowed to.

I'm comparing Bo and his region to other Ace recruiters we have on staff. I think Dunbar is a better D line coach and i'm saying our recruiting won't suffer too bad without him. I think we get all those guys no matter who is recruiting them

Ben Davis? He had about as much to do with getting Ben Davis as I did. He did fine with the MS bunch and Hulk Jones. This isn't to disparage him at all. He's a fine coach, and had improved his recruiting a good bit from his first stint under CNS. But Dunbar won't skip a beat, IMO. And he may be even better of a teacher.

Lane has actually been handling the MS guys since Bo's departure. It will be interesting to see what area Dunbar recruits. I'll guess he'll help Burns and Napier in La. (since that's where he's from) and maybe also some in-state.
