I doubt Bama takes many offensive line commitments in the 2017 class. Probably 2 tackles, a guard and a center. So 4 total. Maybe less then that.

LOl that is almost an entire line.

Why would he not go to USC ? His dad is the OC there.

Bama could add a graduate transfer running back. LINK
quote:
To address the lack of relative experience at running back Saban doesn’t rule out recruiting a graduate transfer player to help along the less-experienced backs.
"Well, I think we're always looking for good players,” Saban said. “I'm pleased (with the running backs in the 2016 recruiting class), but we're always looking for good players. And it seems with these graduate transfers, just looking at the history of it, there seems like there are more skill guys, receivers, running backs that do that type of things.
“So we'll probably be on the lookout for the next best player we can find, whether it's somebody that didn't sign on signing day or someone who is out there looking for an opportunity.”
quote:
Two running backs that fit that description are Stanford’s Barry Sanders Jr. and Michigan’s Derrick Green. Both were recruited out of high school by Alabama, both graduate this spring and both have expressed interest in transferring.
Green, a five-star rated rusher out of high school, was buried on the Wolverines’ depth chart in 2015 as a junior. He compiled 157 yards on 47 rushes in 2015 after a promising sophomore season that was derailed by a shoulder injury in which he rushed for 471 yards on 82 carries in six games.
Sanders Jr. is on schedule to graduate in June. During his three-year career he rushed for 701 yards and four touchdowns on 117 carries, serving as a back-up to Heisman Trophy finalist Christian McCaffrey this past season.

Great, I could get to spend the entire 2016 season explaining Barry J Sanders isn't a Jr to Barry D Sanders
They're both pretty disappointing players, kinda glad Bama missed on both out of HS(Green and Sanders).

FWIW, Irish Illustrated doesn't feel D. Robertson will visit Bama Monday. Guess we'll, see.@JohnGarcia_Jr @BamaMag

You're not a Junior if you don't have an identical name. Writers have botched this notion for a while now, calling him "Barry Sanders Jr".
It's a stickler for me going back to his recruitment, as I share a similar circumstance with my own father.
And they're paid writers, they should fact check

My understanding is he wants to stay close to his mother who is in Knoxville with him

If he does transfer to Bama, I will refer to him as BSJ* on message boards

I would think everyone would prefer BJs instead.

I have the identical name as my dad, but he named me II instead of junior. He thought that junior sounded too trashy and rednecky

My problem with naming a kid after yourself has always been two fold: 1) I agree with your dad's thoughts on how Jr sounds, and 2) it's a bit ballsy to think you've accomplished so much that you are worthy of having someone named after you.
That said, I've come around recently to thinking that if you name someone after yourself, it could also be a mighty challenge to yourself to make the name you gave worth having and of value to them.

I'm a Jr. Tell your dad to meet me at the corner of Piedmont and Cheshire Bridge and I'll show him trashy.

I think you might want to rephrase this.
