Trips me up how nobody on this board knew who J.Jacobs was last week now everyone has him in their NSD list.

I hope like hell we dont take him. Would much rather try to hold onto 2/3 of next years RB's.

Is Jacobs as a frosh going to provide any more/better depth than Marks, Gore, or especially Ronnie Clark ?

No. And he will clutter the depth chart possibly costing Bama one of next years bad-arse RB's.

And yes Emmons is going to qualify.

You don't think Saban knows that? We can clean up the depth chart if needed next year, right now we need another talented RB on the roster.

Wednesday is going to be great. Even if we don't finish #1, there's drama..something we didn't have as much of last year. I urge everyone to go in with low expectations. It makes the day much more enjoyable.

I agree. We're loaded right now, it would be only natural for us to have a harder time getting people to sign up.

That being said, I won't be surprised at all if we end up getting a dominant class.

Worst case scenario is that we only end up with Davis, which would mean that we'll have top tier linebackers almost until Saban's contract runs out in 2022.

Yeah I'm going in expecting only Davis, but if we pull off others (especially the defensive haul of Davis/Wilson/Juarez/Hall) then it'd be a fantastic NSD.

Josh Jacobs is expected to be on campus for his OV today. Wants to visit today because the dead period starts Sunday night.

Reading through some of these posts are depressing. The really sad part is when we have a big day Wednesday, amnesia will suddenly hit those who claimed doom and gloom.

Anyways, Check out this thread on the LSUrb.

Both of those pages are gold. Those dudes are absolutely crazy. I think a couple of "tin foil hatters" could end up becoming dangers to themselves and their societies. In short? We're going to hear about them in the news soon.

If Kongbo is a legit 6'6 then he's close to 270 .I really wish we'd stay after him bc I feel like he's a future 1st rounder.

Either way we finish with a fury on Wed.

You're using the same logic you were on WRs.

Hypotheticals don't fill roster spots. You can't count on underclassmen commits until they sign on the dotted line a year from now.

It like people who want their team to not sign a QB so it won't potentially scare off an elite one the next class. You can't build a team like that, way too many variables.

And that's why you see Saban take at least 1 QB a year, not matter who they got before or coming up. Hell, I'm not sure if still the case, but Saban averaged 2 RBs a class his first 5 years.

They change slightly to encompass need, but the formula for a Saban class has typically stayed the same...

We need as many RBs as we can get. Bo could possibly go pro after this season. I'm not saying he should or anything like that, but he is eligible. With his injuries and things like that, it wouldn't be a stretch to see him give it a try in the NFL.

Finished just behind Hunter Renfrow. I keed, I keed.

Amazes me to see our fb players competing in track against guys who have been focusing solely on track speed for the past 6 months whereas our guys have been busy...winning a NC.

I count 7 different fb players who have/are competing in track in the last 2 years plus Holcombe is going to play baseball. For years, we always had to listen to the same thing when it came to recruiting 2 sport stars,"Saban will never let him play anything but football". Think we can put that one to rest.

Be interesting to see what Minkah runs at the combine in a couple years.

Yeah I've felt all along we needed 2 RBs in this class (Losing Tyren and Flowers since last NSD really jacked up our depth). Problem is this is the worst class for RBs nationally I've ever seen. If staff believes Jacobs is an upgrade over Marks, Gore, and Clark then we should take him.

Yeah... no. His frame is too small to weigh that much even at that height.

Compare his arms, shoulders; his frame, even with the coaches in the picture.

No way is that guy 270 or 280. Obviously that is the reason we backed away so suddenly.

The best part about them is how quickly the pop back up even after their admins take them down.

Then the "Bama fans with LSU alter" accusations start flying...

This always makes me laugh. Clearly there aren't any crazy LSU fans that would ever do anything wrong

At 6'7 he easily looks 260-270.

Not sure why we went cold on him. He has a similar build to J. Allen as a freshman with a larger frame. I recall Allen at 6'3 245, now over 265 in 3 years. He should continue to fill in. I can only think they didn't see him as a 2016 contributor with the return of Allen and Williams
