It doesn't suck. It's good news. No more room at the inn. We're filling up. Sounds like we have a pretty good idea who we're going to get.

I would imagine things change with him visiting Oxford this weekend, and OM folks thinking they have him in the bag, but from some people in the know, we feel very very good about our chances with Simmons. I just wish he'd have already taken his OM visit.

You really think we are getting 8+ commitments on NSD?

A talent evaluator that I trust a good bit (and that talks with our staff some) is very high on Irv Smith as a TE prospect. He thinks whichever TE we would sign between he and Asiasi would be a very good in-line TE. But he's especially high on Smith's blocking.

Who was the recruit that had a special shout out to Eric Silver. I can't remember if it was football or basketball

Yes. Well, between now and SD, probably more like 10. Think we might lose Perry. Then again, I don't believe the final decision on S. Carter has been made yet. That would effect Perry, possibly.

Info is all over the place right now. People laugh at it thinking someone's making excuses, but things literally change everyday this close to signing day.

Ole Miss is hosting a lot of big time recruits on the last weekend before signing day. that is never good.

I'm always conflicted with TE prospects lining up as...well...TEs.

I do like seeing them in their future spot, knowing how to function out of that spot. You find soft spots in coverage an sit down or squirt through LBs.

On the other hand, many teams play their would be TE prospects out wide if are their best player/receiving option.

Unless he has a heavy handed father who wanted him to learn at TE now because he himself knows best(He is Irv Smith).

I thought 27 for the longest

Keeping J. Allen might've snagged a spot

If we get Pennamon (not holding my breath but it would be a huge coup) and Juarez along....

We very well may add up to say 10 on NSD as crazy as it seems it's very possible

I'm working on taking off

We need Emmons to go ahead and get his ACT up so he can be locked up and to be here for fall camp.

Per redfish, the staff isn't the least bit concerned about him qualifying. He has 3 more chances to get the ACT score and might not even need that, as he also has a semester to bring up his GPA (which would also seal the deal).

Jacobs sounds more likely than Pennamon right now. It could all change tomorrow, but it also sounds like he's also viewed as the better prospect.

The Ole Miss folks aren't confident that Pennamon will even visit them this weekend.

I just hope Bama just gets one of the two, which looks likely.

Jacobs is the shiny new toy, but there was a lot of fawning over Pennamon during the season as well.

Worst case on Emmons, we'll see him again in 1-2 years if he somehow fails to get in. I don't think they'll let someone like him loose.

As far as I'm concerned, Bama has 1 RB committed for '17 in Robinson while Harris and Akers are NSD decisions.

Ole Miss fans are confident that they are going to flip Aikers. I hope they are wrong but getting landmassed is becoming a thing.

I would imagine we'll get someone with the last name Zhang to take Emmons' ACT test for him like we did for Darren Lake.

He's expected to qualify now. I believe grades, not test scores, were his issue. Coaches saw his transcripts a few days ago.
