#Alabama frosh QB Jalen Hurts end the 2016 cycle as the No. 7 overall QB and No. 1 QB in Texas for final #Scout300

They are missing the boat badly on Hurts. When non-Alabama assistant coaches are saying he's a "program changer" and calling him a cornerstone recruit, he's 5*.

quote:nice. would bring some nice DL depth. Honestly wish we could find another juco guy like reed, ready to go from day 1 to flush out the rotation. we are great for starters, depth might be a little thin next year
We suddenly feel very good about our chances with Kongbo. Visiting next weekend.

What was the BOL nugget on Kiffin?
quote:
Was just told by multiple sources Lane Kiffin will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend to help host the official visitors. I know this has been the source of much discussion (And no our silence isn't deafening) but we wanted to confirm one way or the other so that we were comfortable enough to report.
They say it's still not a sign that he definitely will stay. Hope he does though

there is a guy on there that SWEARS he has inside info that he will not be back and its been in the works for months. says its all up to Saban and seems he doesn't want him back next year. TIFWIW, no clue who the guy is and seems odd to me that if its been known for months he would not be back that he would not be out recruiting and hosting recruits just to be let go later.

This was originally the case. Things have changed (according to what the people who I get my info from are saying). I believe that the ball is now in Kiffin's court.

If this was the case he would have accepted the UCLA OC job and it would have been announced a day or so after title game. He would have claimed it would give him chance to be back with his family.

Your OC wins back-to-back SEC titles, a national title, a heisman, a biletnikoff, a rimington, the O-line of the year, and he utilized weapons in ways no other OC has but you don't want him back? Yeah. Ok. Sounds legit.
Bama is 26-3 since Kiffin arrived. That ain't all due to Kirby and Nick.

Well if SWEARS on an Internet message board it must be true.

"We're not here to take part — we're here to take over."
Saban used McGregor's words to get his team ready before they walked through the tunnel onto the field and it clearly worked because the Crimson Tide pasted the Spartans with a 38-0 shutout.
Alabama then went on to beat Clemson to win the national title on Monday.
Considering there's no such thing as American football in Ireland, McGregor may not even know who Saban is, but he'd be proud to know that his words are being used as inspiration for sports teams around the globe.

I wouldn't put any stock in this mysterious booster with his inside information.

I believe you will see Jonathan Kongbo and Nick Coe on our signing day list. Both will be coups. 50/50 on Derrick Brown. We feel much better than publicly stated. If he can get through Laid, Paid, Saved this weekend at the Barn without taking a turn toward them, we have a good shot.

Anytime I hear about a lineman being a great wrestler as well, immediately a fan.
John Hannah is obviously the prime example.
Dalvin Tomlinson has put in work here as a former grappler, and hopefully Coe is next.

Me too. I love that wrestling aspect to their game.
The guys that I get my info from said that our staff views him as a national top 3 DL. Right up there with most of the 5* guys. No excuses not to land stud DL this year. There are a ton of them out there. Great year to have a need on the front 7!
