Could be Emmons and we could see a much needed RB commit added to the class

I think his off the field issues, coupled with his questionable showing against elite talent in camps, will cause our staff to back off.

There is word out there already that we are pushing hard for other WRs right now and DS is never mentioned as one of them.

They did just change the SEC rule regarding felonies did they not? I wonder if that plays a part.

Our friend Bam from TSWSNBN is hinting that Emmons is our next commit. He's had pretty good insight in the past.

Im not a fan of adding him this early. If he came on board, that would be three years in a row with a nonqualifier at RB.

Our depth can't handle that. Now, if he wants to commit in February when we have at least two other backs committed, go for it.

Didn't his charges get reduced?

Emmons is elite though.

He has a year to get his grades in order. I say take him and if he doesn't qualify place him at EMCC in Scooba to join the program in 18.

As long as it doesn't scare off any other RBs. We need some RB recruits that are a sure thing in qualifying.

After this year, we are down to Damien Harris, Bo Scar, and some walk-ons.

I really hope Bo can return 100%. I think he can be special.

I don't consider him a legit RB. Maybe an HB until l I see him consistently carry the rock in a game. I could maybe see him as a change of pace third string RB.

Some poster on BOL. TIFWIW:

quote:

Expect WR target Trevon Diggs to pull the trigger to Alabama, if he does it before football season starts. As many know, top QB prospect Dwayne Haskins pledged to Maryland last month. He was trying to keep most of the local Maryland talent close to home and play for the Terps. Many sources have told me that Haskins' commitment is very unlikely to hold throughout the fall, as he has significant interest in Florida.

Many up in Maryland are of the firm belief that the only draw that Trevon has to Maryland is his good friend Dwayne Haskins. Trevon's brother , Minnesota Vikings rookie WR Stefon Diggs was recently at Maryland, and it is on record that Stefon told Trevon he wished that he had played in the SEC to better prepare him for the NFL. Trevon Diggs could commit anytime between now and mid football season, and Alabama is certainly the favorite. Do not count Florida out, though.

I wish Haskins would consider us, but he couldn't go wrong being a QB in Mc's system.

Dream scenario here is to lose Pass to Auburn and pickup Haskins.

Haskins isn't flipping unfortunately.

I like Diggs as a CB after his showing at the Opening. He was probably the best CB there.

Diggs at CB, Demetris Robertson and Tyrie at WR would be best case scenario.

Maybe offer Darnell a spot in December if he can stay out of trouble that long.

And who knows about Cavin Ridley?

Has he stated any interest/disinterest in playing CB?

I think Darnell wants in but he's going to have to hold out until January.

Diggs has said he would play wherever a staff wants him to FWIW .
