Has he stated any interest/disinterest in playing CB?
Yes. In a video I posted last week he said he'd let whichever school he's at choose his position for him. It's one of the reasons he likes LSU because of their reputation with DBs.
Here is what Scout thought of him at The Opening:
quote:
On the defensive side, Diggs is not as polished, but his burst and ability to close on a receiver when the ball is in the air stood out. He knew when to leave his receiver to make a play on ball on a nearby route. He played physical and with confidence, showing a reason why LSU likes him as a cornerback.

With the young talent that we have at CB, Trevon could become more polished before taking the field as a redshirt sophomore.

Diggs outperformed 5-star Saivion Smith, our own commitment Shyheim Carter, and at least a dozen other CBs at the Opening playing the position.
I think he has a ton of potential as a CB.

This year the DBs seem a little more scarce for us, and the WRs who want to commit are numerous. If Diggs wanted in, we could recruit him as athlete but move him to DB.
He seemed open to it on that video I posted last week.

the thought had been when he visits and if our staff pushed he would. I think I mentioned a few months back that Emmons was very high on UA

I'll ask over on UGAs board about how bleak it looks for Emmons with grades

Well-earned, Gordo (Ala.) LB @bendavis_1 earns a fifth star on Scout. Now No. 15 overall in America.

Obvious Bama bump is obvious.

Per both of the stories I tweeted, 5-star Greg Little plans on making his commitment on November 4, his 18th BDay.
Why we gotta wait so long?

Anyone else thinks Raekwon could be a 5 star by NSD...He has dominated every camp so far

FWIW Some LSU "insider" (not Buga) thinks they land Ben Davis.

Let's hope we are undefeated at that time. I'll post the shite out of some animal porn if he commits to us that day but I'd rather be 8-0 by then.
Or 9-0. I'm drunk and haven't looked to see how many games we would have played by then.

Ideal case scenario would be a national championship and a recruiting championship. Little would go a long way in getting the recruiting title.
It's kind of ridiculous how Texas went from a desert for UA recruiting to a fricking goldmine.

Bama has benefitted the most from the expansion into Texas

I wonder how delusional anyone has to be to even
#1 think that a 5 star LB in the state of Alabama would consider going to LSU over Bama with the vast historical difference in the last decades production of defensive monsters.
#2 think that an all-star celebrated alumni of the football team would allow his son to go to a hated rival
Very delusional

Mack Brown got lazy. If Texas had a killer at the helm instead of a turd over the last 10 years they would be the kings of college football.

Raekwon Davis on position:
LINK
quote:
Raekwon Davis knows he's a raw prospect. Some like him on the offenisve line, others on defense. He says he has no preference though the 6-foot-7, 318-pounder worked out exclusively along the defensive line among the nation's best at The Opening Finals last week.
"I wanted to bring it back home, learn new things and was just happy to be apart of it," he said. "I wanted to work on coming off the ball with pressure, real hard."
