a WR from oregon state is scheduled to visit. He's graduated and would be eligible immediately. Had a good sophomore season and was injured his junior year. Richard Mullaney

Bucc he reminds me of Mike Evans from a&m. Always an option and threat especially in clutch or a QB bail out situation.

I can see that but I would say Evans this year with the Bucs, he learned a LOT about route running since he couldn't rely on his power and physicality. He is a lot bigger though so Evans is a bit more physical and doesn't use jets, even though he has them. I saw some film where Mullaney beat some guys heads up off the line from a lot smaller db trying to jam and getting a step on him, then finding where the pass is coming (not a great QB either) and adjusting to a deep pass. He also has a little more juke and agility than Evans, seen him get the inside shoulder the way Amari did with a head fake and step. He can still high point at times but doesn't use it as much as Evans does as a weapon.

They are similar though

Apologize if this has already been covered, but I thought the SEC had a rule prohibiting grad transfers unless they had more than 1 year of eligibility remaining. Is this no longer true? Mullaney only has 1 year

Grad must be different because Braxton Miller was the same situation.

Well I thought I remember there being talk of UF needing to get a waiver from the SEC if they got Golson from Notre Dame and a waiver was by no means guarenteed. If the same is true for us and Mullaney that'd be a pretty good reason for him to not pick us.

I thought Golson's waiver was going to be for getting kicked out of ND for academic fraud. Could be wrong though.

You're right. I looked it up:

An SEC bylaw could prevent Golson from playing in the conference. A conference rule requires graduate transfers to have not been, "subject to official university of athletics department disciplinary action at any time during enrollment at any previous collegiate institution."

SEC changed it's rule prohibiting grad transfers with only 1 year eligibility a year ago, so we're on level playing ground with other conferences for Mullaney

One year

My previous post wasn't clear. SEC repealed the rule that would've prohibited a grad transfer like Mullaney. So even though he only has 1 year, there is no issue (unlike in past years).

Mike Evans was thick. He played around 230 or so and very muscular. Also probably taller.

I was not comparing him in regards to size, I was comparing him to his ability to always be an option. Evans always seem to get the ball when thrown towards him and always was clutch wen needed to pick up yardage. This guys plays the same way.

I'm in Montgomery for training this week. Anyone want to come pick me up at Gunter Annex so we can go give Mack Wilson a couple $100 handshakes?
