They are probably on track scholarships, instead of football. One way to help with the 85 man limit.

I wouldn't be completely surprised if one of them went to track fulltime.
Like when Jay Williams flipped over to baseball. They actually made on the team though, Williams didn't and transferred to some tiny arse Illinois school(John A Logan College).
