That thread is priceless, textbook LSUrb gold

As much as we talk about Auburn being little brothers, LSU is like the really annoying little brother than doesn't really want to be friends with you, but aspires to be you and craves your approval.

I found this on the Aubs thread. From a Miami insider:

Crazy stuff about Ridley and Miami. I didn't realize that the coach breaking the rules could have an effect on the eligibility of the student athlete. Doesn't sound right, but as always TIFWIW.

And about Gibson.

Gibson actually tweeted a link to that earlier saying it was funny but totally false. Looks like he's deleted the tweet now

Top Target: Daron Payne, DL

Sales Pitch: Stay in-state where you belong. We win all the time, and you'll be prepared for the NFL in all facets of our program.

While Auburn poses a threat, Alabama is hunting 5-star defensive lineman Daron Payne hard. Payne's powerful 6'2", 348-pound frame is a perfect fit to play nose tackle or end in the Crimson Tide's base 3-4 scheme.

Alabama is viewed by many as an NFL factory, plus it has won three national championships under head coach Nick Saban. There's not much selling 'Bama has to do.

Holy frick sticks. The LSUr board is solid gold this morning. The first 5 threads was nothing but bitching about Bama.

This is one of my favorites:

And congrats to Bama on the number 1 corner in 2016, when the future of their DB core even looks like ours I'll start to worry. It's pretty easy to recruit kids to play positions that are immediate needs (for Bama, this is DB)

We only signed the #2 & #4 CB's last year, including one LSU LOCK, plus have the #3 CB committed this year, yet our DB core isn't as good as LSU's for the future.

i like this one:

In a way, though, Its kind of magical. These people that live in a dark, hopeless, place like Alabama get a glimmer of hope and joy in their otherwise shitty lives when a high school kid chooses their school (or team in most cases) over ours. Its almost like when they get the occasional LA recruit, its charity from the state of Louisiana. Be glad that we can give back in some way guys.

have these frickers ever been outside of Louisiana?

I think charity implies giving something willingly. Usually we just take what we want without regard to how they feel.

I like how Louisiana is seen as the bastion of light and culture. Cracks me up every time.

Josh Sweat is the new #1 in 247 updated rankings. Blake jumped From 32 to 18. Ridley is #22. Both are now 5 stars.

I'm trying to figure out how Stidham got #1 QB. I heard some positive reports on him early in the Elite 11 but very little once they got into 7on. Were 247 analysts praising his performance a lot last week?
