I wasn't attacked per say. I said practically.
I've made it clear that I like, and want, Jacob Eason more than Barnett. He's a better prospect. He outperformed Barnett at the Rivals Challenge two weeks ago.
I apparently pissed some people off by saying that.

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for supporting our commitments. But I won't blatantly claim they are better than another player just because they are committed to Alabama.
Some people can't do that and that's their right.
Eason is just better than Barnett. It's not a knock on Barnett but they seem to think so.
I hope Barnett comes in plays outstanding for us, but I think Eason would be the better fit.

I like barnett. could you imagine a guy like MM from Oregon on our team. A guy that can throw but run really well too.

You gonna paint it like that just because it wasn't an agreeable point, on a different site no less? 
You have your reasons why you don't believe he's an elite QB, other people have reasons that he is. No one is blinded by the fact he's a Bama commit. He needs coaching to fix the technical side of his game, but he's still a top 5 QB in the class and a top 70 player in the middle of June. There's no telling how he's revered months from now. Senior seasons haven't been kind on Bama QB commits lately. Bateman's team sucked, and McLeod and Cornwell had serious injuries that limited playing time.
I personally don't think there's elite QBs prospects period because very few step in and start. There's always a level of acclimation. I've also been adamant about not throwing away a year of positional recruiting for 1 player.
Eason is projected as a superior prospect to Barnett, but you don't let someone like Barnett loose. Take what you can get now and worry about 2016 when it happens. If other teams want to pander to him that way, let them do it. Otherwise it's talent to compete against to make him better if he went to Bama...

Well considering the "bird in the hand" may not pan out seeing as he has never taken a snap under Center I'd take the elite one that has in the bush.
One is the #3 ranked player in the country for his class whereas the other is the #7 QB in his class.

I just saw what you were talking about TS. Usually some of those guys don't seem to be wearing the Crimson glasses, but they've definitely slipped a pair on. Suddenly Barnett is better because he committed to us? WTF is that?
I just hope that type of thinking doesn't attract the tidefans type of posters.

Theres no guarantee we would have got him. We could have done everything right and still left empty handed. Then what? Two years of taking Ely type prospects? 
Personally I admire Barnett coming to Bama over practically being handed the job at Oregon. Perhaps Eason will be the same.

Last week 90% of the people over there were happy that all of the PAC-12 schools had taken an elite QB in this class because it helped our chances at Eason.
Now that we have landed a Top 100 QB for this class they have started saying that Eason is scared of competition if he doesn't commit to Alabama. What makes his situation different now?
It was fine when we could have nabbed him due to other schools taking other QBs, but now that we got one and he doesn't come he's a pussy?
Come the frick on. I said the same thing over there and got blasted for it.
I guess if Eason accepted Eric's face time request the rhetoric would be different. Right?

Last week Bama's QB recruiting looked bleak for 2015. If someone could have called landing Barnett going into his visit week, they better had damn sure gotten lotto numbers too.
I know there's some inconsistent posting activity there, but not everyone is saying that 1 thing. It's a conclusion that can be jumped to, but who knows what he wants in a depth chart. Again, I personally don't believe Bama should have to contort their depth chart to attract a prospect.

First "attacked", now it's "blasted". Seems those are word choices of someone offended. No one was ganging up on you, no one was being a contrarian for the sake of opposition. I'm not being petty. A 16 year old creeper kid who doesn't know jack shite about football isn't going to convince me on who is good and who isn't based on who will face time with him.
I appreciate the info he brings. I really do. But he can't tell the difference between a marginal prospect and an elite one when it comes to film.
He's partial to the kids that accept his chat requests. That's not a ringing endorsement for his evaluation skills don't you think?

The fact remains that I like Eric. He brings his teenage swag into our recruits world and he posts what they are thinking. I dig it. It's an "in" that we normally wouldn't have.
But he is a kid. I didn't know jack shite at 16. It's not a knock on him.

True. To be fair though, when I was 16 I thought it was only a matter of time until the high end offers came in.

I'm not here on this Earth to judge peers on their level of knowledge. I don't know what he knows or doesn't know, but I'm not gonna devalue his opinion because of what he chooses to do with his time. I'll take it into consideration with my established general opinion.
What do I know in the grand scheme of things? I just read things sitting in a desk chair. I'm not an expert and I don't claim to be. I won't hold myself above anyone because that's not how I see to do things. All my intent is to traffic information to people who may want it. And crack horribly bad jokes here and there.
I don't attend anything of this to the skewed into ill will. I don't take any offence, and hopefully none was given.
