I’m for anything that takes minutes away from Noah Richardson. That dude is a stiff. I don’t know if he’s even athletic enough to get five fouls in a game.

I assume we will know for sure at the PC? Or do you think he keeps it vague to mess with Barnes?

Ive heard people say "no way Oats does this". But TN has a 23yr old former Euro Pro on their team this year. There really is no fricking difference.

5 years to play 4 is the only hardline the NCAA can get away with at this point, because they refused to change for so long, and now its bitten us all in the arse.

Wonder how this will affect Tyler Bowling-Ball’s minutes?

He would have time to heal. Then he would play the 4.

We get Bediako and heal some people up and we'll go deep into the NCAA playoffs.

Williamson? Idk. It’s the big goon that doesn’t add anything, if that helps you.

I think what comes out of this is a hard line that unless you play actual NBA minutes you are eligible if you still have time remaining on your eligibility clock.

So what’s gonna happen is teams are gonna play their non-conf, identify their weakness and raid the G-League every year for players to enroll for the Spring semester that help them

With this specific case I agree. Eventually an actual NBA player will sue as well and they’ll have a case based on precedent imo

I'm confused as to why he is even eligible to play if he wasn't enrolled in the fall. My understanding was you had to be enrolled in the semester the sport started. At least that was the rule in junior college, and they usually mimic most of the NCAA rules.

They may go down slightly, but it’s more going to take away Noah’s minutes. Bediako is strictly a 5. Aiden can play with Charles because he can shoot the 3.

Makes us not ever have to play TBB on other teams bigs. Everything we needed on the roster all year.

I read somewhere that he had been enrolled and tried to go through proper channels to get ncaa eligibility. They were being inconsistent so he filed suit.

Oats was asked about this as a strategy(not Bediako specifically. Asked about the Baylor kid) and kinda danced around it, saying it could be something we would look at in the future if this was what college basketball was going to be now. Didn’t think it would be this soon

Yep, the fact Bristow and TBB are now allowed to exclusively be 4s is the big win here. Williamson as your 3rd "we need your 5 fouls" center is great. When he's your main bench big, you're in trouble.

If he comes in and does what he did in 22-23 for this squad, he is exactly what this team needs. This team has plenty of depth at 1-4 spots. We have one capable 5 on the whole roster. The other true 5 plays like a newborn giraffe looks when trying to figure out how to walk. We've been forced to play lighter 4s at the 5 and that is why every team with size has punk'd us.

Aren’t you constantly in the game threads saying the team has no D and rebounding?

Did you ever watch Charles Bediako?

You should make a point to watch us play a game or two this season.
