When we saw Texas #3 that clinched it for me, here is what most with clinched butts did not get
If Texas' resume passed FSU by then our resume HAD TO ALSO pass them by, because our resume was actually better than Texas' overall following me so far?
The only reason Texas was #3 over us was head to head, BUT FSU did not have that same head to head loss to Texas, so their falling behind Texas meant the committee thought a 12-1 Big 12 champ was better than them, therefore a 12-1 SEC champ had to be above them also. In essence they had to fall behind us also. Its just simple math guys.

Not that it matters now, but my question is this: why is it all about Bama-Fsu? It should be Texas Bama FSU. I understand Texas beat us, but they have a loss. If everyone who is bitchin about fsu being undefeated and left out, they should also ask about Texas, because under that thought process, fsu should have been in and above Tx. But they weren't, so that doesn't match up.

They actually do the top three teams, then start over with 4, 5 and 6 and compare those teams.
So, that is why its about us and FSU.

Because the people taking this position are starting with a biased conclusion (that Alabama should not be in because they don't want to see us win another natty) and reverse engineering an argument from there. The justification for Texas being ahead of FSU is literally nothing more than they beat Alabama. So they want to use us being elite to bolster Texas and then act like we aren't when evaluating us. It's absurd.
