The last couple of years we’ve followed up some big wins with some really disappointing let downs. Can we avoid that this year?

Miami is getting bent over a barrel by Our Lady of Southbend.

Vandy isn't what they were a couple years ago, but they have a young highly rated QB...you don't want to sleep walk into a road morning kickoff and have him suddenly have the game of his life.

Want to see us look crisp and efficient.

Did you not see the TD that Miami caught and the refs waved off?

Dude caught it. Got both feet in. When he was going out of bounds the defender knocked it out of his hands. They called it incomplete.

Good thing is this vandy is much much less talented than the one that beat us a few years back. We need to use it to get our run game going and have keelon feel dominant again

Ahh yeah....didnt see it really. Gonna take your word for it.

However how many times this year have the refs saved Miami? Its not happening this game

At least twice.
FSU and UNC.

And ND has to be in the playoff. They will always be protected.

Vanderbilt isn't as good as last few years, but they are not bad. Just beat State.

New QB is talented, will have a career day next week

Weren’t you also one of the many pessimists on this board thinking LSU was most likely going to win and win big?

They beat them by 2 and State has been complete garbage without Taylor at QB. This Vandy team put up 28 vs an FCS school, beat Delaware by 9, got an underserved win vs a bad NCSU team, and got crushed by Ole Miss, Kentucky, and even ARKANSAS. Basically their only highlight was playing it close with UGA first half before losing by 24.

Could Bama be sloppy vs them? Sure. But I think you’re underestimating how bad they are. And they don’t have a bye week like in 2024. They themselves are coming off a hard fought win so no 2 weeks of prep for Bama this time

Yeah and you were wrong. You overestimated how clutch LSU/Kiffin are. This game wasn’t an anomaly regarding LSU’s performance in the red zone or Kiffin’s stupidity in big games. They’ll probably finish the year with 4-5 losses because of it

Always the biggest question mark for DeBoer is avoiding the let down game. I doubt we see it vs Vandy, but the Iron Bowl is going to be the one where we could potentially slip up.

Not afraid of the Aubs but they DID beat UGA in their house. Their QB is so erratic but if he gets on a hot streak, he can be dangerous. He's also a really big dude and difficult to bring down. To underestimate them would be a mistake.

We have fairly recently went to Nashville and lost a game after a big win. So we should be alert. However it’s going to come down to availability report and mental toughness staying sharp. That’s the modern era.
