LOL. I’ve literally seen the same thing. Part of me has thought that Ridley doesn’t care for hurts given hurts inability to get Jim the ball when open.

(I’m not toggling to add punctuation on my phone.) LOL.

I think all this Tua and Jalen discussion is much ado about nothing. Jalen has issues he needs to improve on. Coach has not seen anything from Tua in practice that convinces him that Tua should take over, because he still believes Jalen gives us the best chance to win. Tua will play when Coach thinks he gives us the best chance to win, and so far that has not happened. Only time will tell.

So live game stats are less reliable or pertinent than practice stats? Really?

I didn’t say anything remotely close to that. I said compare similar competition.

In 7 games against the same teams:
Tua: 66% - 8.87ypa - 8 TD (1 TD per 6.6 att) - 1 INT
Jalen: 67% - 10.0ypa - 10 TD (1 TD per 11.8 att) - 1 INT

I’m not sure how you look at that and say one has zero passing ability and the other is a future Heisman.

We were talking about turnovers.

So Jalen Hurts has thrown 224 passes to get those 10 tds and Tagovailoa has thrown 53 passes with 8 touchdowns? hmmm That's about 15% for Tua, and about 4.5% for Hurts. Thanks.

No, man, just no.

Those were their 7 comparable games. Jalen threw 118 passes to get those 10 TDs.

I guess you’re going to ignore Jalen’s much higher yards per attempt?

ok. I thought I must have made a mistake a few days ago when I calculated (and posted) that Hurts had thrown a touchdown about 6.8% of his attempts, but that is correct. ESPN stats says he completed 60.8% (not 67% as you said) of 222 passes, with 15 tds, so that is about 6.8%. Tagovailoa still at 15%.

Huddle again don’t get upset, I’m telling you from the years I’ve been going to practices and what not. Saban will not play a kid who is turnover prone in practice. He forces passes, he has turnovers in practice. It’s fine he’s a freshman. My Opinion is he should get at least a shot against Clemson and def in the spring.

Talking about the 7 games that both QBs played, for the 3rd time.

Ok. And I'm still talking about season stats.

According to ESPN, Hurts has completed 60.8% of his passes, with 6.8% of those going to touchdowns. Tagovailoa has completed 66% with 15% going to tds.

You butted in on a conversation that Boz and I were having about practice stats and live game stats of turnovers. Now you apparently want to spin the topic to one of your own choice. Fail.

The problem is your avatar gives you away. Sadly, i conclude you are not unbiased.

It’s not spin, huddie. It just seems pointless to compare stats of someone who has played FSU, LSU, Auburn and A&M to someone who hasn’t.

If that’s what you want to do, fine. I’m just trying to understand the logic.

The Jalen Hurts era should be over already but I have a feeling that Saban trots him out there to run for his life wasting yet another opportunity at a championship.

Great post, Saban might make a switch at halftime if the offense is really stagnant.

Stats don't tell the whole story, most of Hurts' passing yards come after the catch is made less than 10 yards from the LOI
