I expect 17-12 after 29 games.

As long as his team doesn't blow multiple second half leads like Grant did in his first year or collapse down the stretch like Avery, everything above that should portend good things.

Unfortunately, the last 2 hires showed who they were in their first years. Let's hope Oats shows more promise, and gives reason for rational optimism (Whatever that is )

Well Petty is definitely gone and Lewis is likely gone. So we are going to be a 10 win team next season

Do you care to elaborate on this? I don't know how you can be so matter-of-fact about Petty leaving, because all we have is speculation at this point. Unless you know something we don't...???

It wasn't so much about the W/L for avery. It was the trajectory and the optics.

This guy could have the exact same W/L record as Avery for a couple of years. But if the effort is there, if the fundamentals are there, Alabama fans are smart enough to see the difference.

I gave Avery the benefit of the doubt right up to the end. After the 2nd half collapses, etc. But you don't lose to the 32 seed in the NIT. You just don't.

Byrne could help Oats out here by accelerating the Coleman renovations. Expectations would come way down if we were playing in Bham and without a gym next year. And we are going to have to do it anyway so why not go ahead and take the lumps and give him time to get settled in and be able to point to new facility in recruiting.
