Caleb Williams vs Jalen Milroe

I am not saying Jalen is better than Caleb. However, I am saying the last three weeks...
Caleb Williams - 125.5 Passer Rating
Jalen Milroe - 173.3 Passer Rating
My biggest gripe has always been Jalen's ability to process and make the right reads. I still think he has those issues but he is progressing. I also think the coaches continue to reinforce being safe with the football which is affecting his ability to process as he is being safe.

Jalen can be a very efficient QB if Rees puts him (and everyone else around him) in situations where he can manage the play.
Call more designed runs, create confusion for the defense with pre-snap motion, run routes allowing Milroe to get the ball out faster, etc.

Agreed the play with Niblack out in front blocking should be used at least 3-5 times a game. We ran it with Hurts continuously.

Milroe with Kiffin or Sark would be in the Heisman conversation.

This is also based on Jalen's mental acuity.

Williams will be an NFL bust. Dude’s mind is only on money.

Based on Leadership/Personality. I'd much rather have Jalen than Caleb.
Caleb is a tool and a half. It makes it easier for people to root for his failure.

Jalen isn’t being asked to remotely anything similar to what Caleb is doing. Milroe might average 18-20 throws a game and 2-3 designed runs, Caleb is doing double that. I wouldn’t compare Milroe to Caleb, Penix, or any QB that the offense relies on for its whole production.
If we had Caleb playing like his current state we would be winning games by larger margins because of the defense.

Very well said

Williams is a mental cancer on that team. Amazing ability but horrible attitude. Only seems to care about himself. I was watching them play Utah last Saturday night and late in the game, USC scores to take the lead and Utah gets the ball back with under two minutes to go.
The USC crowd is going nuts, his team mates on the sidelines are all yelling and what is Williams doing? The dude is sitting on the bench just kind of looking around and not really paying attention to the game. WTH?!?!?!
He just oozes "bad attitude". I may be wrong but he may end up like Cam Newton's NFL career. Lots of skill and a few good years but a bad attitude derails his NFL career.

People get mad if you show passion and get mad if you don't.
In the end this is why most players just do them.

In this case, I can understand why Caleb Williams rubs people the wrong way.
- He was demanding a minority stake in the NFL team that drafts him.
- Trying to dictate who drafts him.
- Paints his fingernails saying frick the other team.
- Has public arguments/ belittles fans.
It is what it is.

This isn't actually something that can be done anyway because of the salary cap ramifications. Otherwise Mahomes would just be paid vet minimum but have an ownership stake in the Chiefs that covers his actual value.
I think Williams is likely to bomb his interviews when the draft rolls around though. He doesn't seem like someone who loves football so much as he enjoys the attention and money he gets from being good at it. You can be totally unemotional on the sidelines while still being intensely invested in the game. See Hurts, Jalen.
He'll still go #1 overall though because Bears.

Kiffin would definitely have Milroe doing dirty things. Not sure he'd fit real well with Sark.

I agree with this and I mentioned yesterday in the 2nd half it looked as we called more plays that were designed to get out of his hands quicker. Jalen just does not do well when required to hold onto the ball as he has no pocket awareness and seems to over think what to do.

Actually in July the owners voted to ban this. So apparently it was a possibility if a vote was needed.

Funny thing is, it didn’t always seem that way. He played in OUs bowl against Oregon when everyone and their mother knew he was gonna transfer to SC. He was the Game MVP. Thought that showed a lot of character

“frick Utah” no less. The squad that is, culture wise, the antithesis to Riley’s USC and has punked their asses 3 times in a row

Caleb Williams is the most unlikeable player since Stetson Bennett.
I wouldn't give that guy an equity stake in a stadium bathroom urinal. Looked very average everytime I've seen him play a defense with a pulse.
