My respect for these two just skyrocketed. McElroy said it best: "players don't sit games out at Alabama".

These guys, along with the other players who may have been advised otherwise, are the reason that being a Tide player carry so much respect and admiration of the Tide Nation.
You'll always be respected and honored among the generations of Alabama fans, and Tuscaloosa will always be your 2nd home!

I said this. They're leaders and are invested in the program.

Hope it happens.

True warriors and culture leaders.

All the old players coming out weren't questioning the Alphas.

Love this team. You can't overcome your flaws if you don't look at yourself and commit to overcome them.

I know most aren't excited about missing the CFP. But, if they play, it will be one of my favorite moments, win or lose.

CFB is about selflessness and team. We'll miss that all too soon

In Houston he'd reunite with Metchie hopefully. Granted, Houston is a total rebuild job.

Those 2 guys were permanent team captains... sitting out, while understandable on it's face, would have diminished what it means to be honored as a captain by your teammates. Well done. I plan on going to the Sugar Bowl... pretty excited to see these guys wear crimson one last time in person.

This is a big deal and a great look for Alabama during a down year.

Things haven’t felt like “Bama” for a bit with the way the season went and all the transfers. This feels right.

Working with Metch would be nice but Houston's front office is a mess right now and they may be looking at a new coaching staff next season.

Detroit's front office and coaching situation are in a much better place than Houston as of now. People thought Bryce ran for his life a lot this season, wait till he plays for Houston next season.

It sound very logical to opt out. But when it come down to game time, players dedicated to the team have a hard time doing it. I expect them to play.

I thought Saban said it well. How do you prepare for the NFL? By playing football.

Wow; I think as fans we really have to appreciate what they’re doing here. These kids are quite literally putting millions of dollars potentially 10s of millions, on the line so they can suit up for us one more time.

Concerns me a bit about out tackle situation; but damn. Roll Tide Bryce and Will!

All Time greats in a new era.

Every game, every play is a risk. This is huge news for the team and the future of what could be the new Bama way. Play for the team/tradition and trust the process.

Very proud. All we have is our names. Win or lose, it feels good to have team players stepping to the fore when it's become uncommon

Goff is young and playing well, QB isn’t that team’s problem

Omg. Bryce will play well anywhere he he doesn't have to play under center and is allowed the ability to change a play.
