Bryce to Dolphins?

I heard the tail end of a conversation on the radio about this yesterday. The thinking is that the Panthers are done with Bryce and the Dolphins are built to win now but without a QB. Anyone heard any such rumors? I would love to see Bryce with an actual functioning NFL franchise.

That would be ideal. A coach who can accentuate his positives. It also would be cool to see him at the Rams. Gets to go back home and learn for a few years under McVay. Stafford is always banged up

I think he's a horrible fit for that offense in his current state. Even at Alabama he held the ball a long time on lots of his throws, and definitely has that problem in the NFL. Is that a confidence issue, or just that he can't see the field very well at his size?
Bryce does have a quick release once he decides to cut it loose, but at this point the decision-making is WAY too slow for success in McDaniels' system.

They could do a lot worse than Mac.

I just think Bryce needs to sit for awhile. Get his head straight and confidence back.

Tua and the Dolphins offense are about getting the ball out quickly. Bryce was great at extending plays and ad libbing more than precision passing.
Mac Jones would be a better fit for Miami.
Bryce needs to a reset at a new location. The Panthers ruined him.

No way to prove this but I think his confidence is completely shattered. It doesn't help that his team totally sucks. They're hapless.

It's obvious from his facial expressions and body language that this is true.
The Phish have been a soft team for decades, and have a losing culture. Very similar to the Cowboys.

If I'm Miami, I'd prefer Mac Jones.
He's at least shown in the preseason he's ready to go. Bryce didn't play at all in the preseason (which is a head scratcher in hindsight.
They'd probably give up less draft capital for Mac.
Mac played with Waddle...some familiarity there couldn't hurt.
Of course, Miami hasn't put Tua on IR...he could still return sooner rather than later.

Carolina would be insane to trade for any QB at this juncture. Their only path for a hopeful future is tanking for the #1 pick, presumably to draft another QB in 2025, and saving the remaining picks they will have for improving the rest of the roster which is awful from top to bottom.
The Dolphins may very well be in the market for another QB after this season too.

I'm interested in seeing how the Panthers look this week.

I expect them to look at least marginally effective. Red Rifle is a proven commodity, albeit past his prime and playing with not much help around him. At least he'll have them in the right plays and protections, etc. If he just avoids being a turnover machine it will be an improvement.

I say this with all sincerity and hope that Bryce will figure it out.
There are multiple QBs not even in the league that would be a better option for Miami than Bryce Young.

We can all agree with that. It's clear that he needs a completely fresh start on a different team, and hopefully with a better organization. Similar to what Mac Jones has gotten. I'm not "feeling sorry" for any 20-something who has double-digit millions in the bank, though. He has a major head start on 99% of people his age, and has to figure things out going forward.
