According to this article, Bo Davis made illegal contact with a recruit during the dead period and then lied to Saban about it. Saban then fired him. You don't lie to Saban. LINK

That would be a very good outcome, but I am hesitant to trust an author that doesn't know the difference between resign (as in to quit) and re-sign (as in to return).
