I think you could say that about any coach at any level of sport.

Beavers pitched great today and only had two bad pitches. The HR and the hit batter.

Another top pitcher and another trip to OKC spoiled by no offense? Who saw that coming?

All this being just happy to be there is for the BIRDS.

Bases loaded and we score only 1 run because of Patrick Murphy!

Our girls are stuck on just being happy to be there instead of holding the coaches and coaching development accountable.

Like

Did anybody see us even come close to hitting an off speed pitch?

Our batters are so lost at the plate smh.

What I'm seeing is that some fans and former players are happy being mediocre and that needs to change.

That’s what I’m saying! No way she makes it. Possibly cost us the game.

Why did he send her?

To me, this was the mistake of the game. Bases were loaded, the pitcher was rattled, and the team was making contact. The out at home wasn’t even close. Easy for me in hindsight I suppose.

Duke currently up on Oklahoma 1-0 bottom of the 2nd. Probably won’t last but would be just our luck.

“No big deal.” I don’t expect him to overreact but that approach makes me want to smack the shite out of him. Losing game one is a huge deal.

The horrible base running bothers me more than anything. No excuse on a couple of those blunders.

I dont know of a Bama lady SB player currently who would start on the OK team. The OK ladies are just built different. They are all powerful and look like weight training has been part of their daily process. We have ladies in our program that look the same physically as if they were just arriving on campus.

!I love Alabama sports! Graduated in '83, yet was a fan when the only way you could listen to basketball games was the radio, and watched the first night time game of football (Hunter vs. Manning) a long, long time ago. It is a way to vicariously live through a team, enjoy accomplishments of your alma mater, and relive the competitive nature that we "athletes" grow up playing. I know that this team has struggled significantly over the past several seasons with dynamics other teams have struggled with. Winning an early National Championship which sets the bar for future seasons, having other successful teams sports that also create a bar, and being highly competitive (which not all people are) and expecting similar results. Given all of this, I am amazed that this team has gotten to the World Series and had this game in reach until the final innings. Outside of my own expectations and biases, I am SO TREMENDOUSLY PROUD OF THESE GIRLS! What effort and motivation against all odds. Regardless of the remaining results, I cannot express how much these girls exemplify what it takes to be a winner! And at the end of the day..... please Murphy, get yourself an extraordinary batting coach who will provide the extra umph you need to get back on top of this sport. Roll Tide!!!!
