I'm also upset that The Hunt Club closed. Granted, Thomas' was around a lot longer (as was Edo's for that matter). But The Hunt Club had the best burgers around with their bacon and brisket burger, and where else can you get an elk, antelope or {name your exotic meat} burger now.

That the QB position is totally up in the air.

Good, I’m glad to hear that.

That means we have no qb!!!! Saban has totally butchered the qb position, we may lose 3 games this season because of qb play… I think I got all the usual comments casuals would make. On a serious note, I think all three could be more than fine. Milroe is the wildcard, I think he has the lowest floor and highest ceiling at the same time.

I think the issue with the QBs is that they look great at practice than average in a game situation.
Milroe shows flashes and obviously has elite speed, but makes boneheaded turnovers.
Ty has the best potential and is the best passer, but he had an opportunity to lock up the starting spot and blew it in the spring game when he missed two wide open touchdown throws.
The ND guy doesn’t know anyone and is starting behind on chemistry minus his OC.

Why do you keep believing the spring game determines the starter.

Summer development and Fall camp will decide it. A transfer and two developing guys are playing under a new OC. I imagine it's wide open.
The team will rally around the one that separates in practice and provides the best chance to win games and avoid doing things to lose them.
I'm excited to simplify things on both sides of the ball. Let talent play. Don't make them overthink things. Get back to a physical attack on offense that schemes for the opponent and incorporates play calling to get match ups and get people open. Get back to a physical, attacking front 7 with the secondary contesting everything.

If Ty hits those TDs every fan would be expecting him to start. Coaches are human too. Don’t think they they wouldn’t have been chattering if Ty nails those passes.
Not that the spring game is everything, but it does show some flaws in the QBs game. I know some of our better QBs had bad spring games, but it motivated them to work harder.

I think for Ty it must be a mental processing thing. He’s still young and came from a weaker high school division in a weak state for HS football so his adjustment to the speed of the game at this level is going to be higher than for some. His passes looked sort of wobbly to me too. Hopefully that was just his thumb injury and not poor mechanics. I do think he has the highest ceiling in the QB room just not sure he can be ready by September. May be 2024 before he’s really ready to ball out.

The little Twitter video of him throwing looks really good

Based on the Twitter video I posted the other day I think it is safe to say his passes were wobbly because of the thumb injury.
He was smoking those passes in the Twitter vid.

Yes. Those passes looked NFL caliber in terms of velocity and precision.
