Were Haynes and Miller playing 2th team against the 2nd team defense.

What reports? I've seen nothing to suggest Milroe is way ahead just that he's better than he was last year. Which based on how he played it would be shocking if he wasn't better.

I think that certain media people and trolls want Jalen to win the job so that Ty will leave. Pretty messed up but that’s the state of our society right now. Stephen M. Smith is openly rooting for Milroe to win.

I physically watched it today and honestly Milroe is better. Not to say it wasn’t just today and not the norm.

Boz said he looked more comfortable in the pocket. I don’t know if that meant compared to Ty, or compared to himself last year. I guess it’s because I haven’t heard anything about Ty other than the coaches speak from Saban, but I’ve seen all of these YouTube people and forum people praising how good Jalen is. I hope that’s the case, but I am maybe not as optimistic about thing with him under center. If he wins, then that’s all that matters I suppose.

That wouldn't be surprising to me at all. I think that McClellan and Williams are really good backs, but I think Miller has the potential to be an all-american. I've been high on him since his first carry. And everything I've heard about Haynes makes me think the same thing about him.

Yeah, it was obvious the first time he played Miller was going to be a stud. Can't wait to see him get playing time this year.

Do we know what the homecoming game is this season yet? I'm guessing it'll be Tennessee because of the date...which would be a big one after last season.

Both really. Whoever Milroe worked with in the off-season has him playing well.

Gotcha. So there is a decent gap between the two at the moment. That’s not to say Ty can’t improve before the season and make a push. Also wonder if he can put all that together in real time. We’ve all seen the guys who are practice heroes but lose some of it under the bright lights. Jalen certainly has the intangibles. I think the taste of A&M is still sour from last year.

I'm in the wait and see mode as far as the QB's go. My best guess has been that Ty would eventually win the job. But, Jalen seems like a very intelligent and determined kid. It certainly wouldn't hurt to have a freak athlete at QB, but only if he can progress to also being a good QB -passing, decision making, game management, leadership, etc. So, I'm not counting him out, even if I have my doubts this year. I might even be pulling for him. I really liked his interviews last year.

If Milroe can make the reads he's going to be hard to handle.

Thanks Boz for the Intel.

I have a well placed source who says it’s Arkansas. But we’re not supposed to know that yet

No problem.
