They wont take the best player. Theyll go with someone with the size and arm strength.

Happy 16th Anniversary, Coach Saban! (Tide1009.com)

16 years ago to the day, Nick Saban made an announcement that he had accepted an offer to become the 27th head football coach at the University of Alabama. The moment came as a shock to many around the football world as Saban had vehemently denied the rumors just weeks earlier and has gone down as one of the most important moments in the history of the game since then.

I agree. I think the combine is going to hurt him.

His height and weight at the combine may hurt him. But I think the team interviews at the combine could help him a lot. Also I don't get the knock on his arm strength. Size sure but his arm strength seems above average at least.

This is huge. Could be the difference between competing for a championship and settling for a lesser bowl again.

I assume Reichard got a grade from the NFL and decided it would not hurt to come back but could only help.

I thought they only give out if you’re likely to be in the top 2 rounds?

probably so but most kickers go the FA route and only the best go in one of the 7 rounds.

Wonder if Will got enough NIL to make the diff in $ not enough to leave. I wouldn’t think kickers are big NIL guys, but even if it was 40-50% of what he could make in the NFL he might have thought it was enough to stay.

Will got a nice NIL deal package, pays him close to what he would have made as a undrafted free agent.

Ricks was all set to return, but got a surprisingly 1st round grade from the NFL. His measureables are off the charts for a CB in the NFL. Look for him to rise up the mock drafts after the combine.

If he got a first round grade then he has to go. Saban would even tell him to go.
