While still holding true that being in n your seat insures safety...players aren't animals. This isn't jumping in a lions cage. Players need discipline to just move on... But discipline isn't in abundance right now

No. 6/6 Alabama Overpowers No. 24/24 Mississippi State, 30-6
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The No. 6/6 Alabama football team limited No. 24/24 Mississippi State to its fewest points of the season on the way to a 30-6 victory Saturday night in front of a sold-out Bryant-Denny Stadium on Homecoming.
The Crimson Tide defense totaled 15 pass breakups, six tackles for loss and four sacks. Linebacker Henry To'oTo'o led the defensive unit with a team-high 13 tackles, while defensive back DeMarcco Hellams ended with 12 tackles and two pass breakups. Corners KoolAid McKinstry and Eli Ricks tied for the team lead with four pass breakups apiece on the night.
Offensively, quarterback Bryce Young finished 21-of-35, connecting with 11 different receivers to account for the 249 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Wide receiver Ja'Corey Brooks had a team-high 74 receiving yards while JoJo Earle and Traeshon Holden each caught touchdowns. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs paced the Tide in rushing yards (10 for 37) and total receptions (four for 33).
Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban Said
"I was really pleased with the way our guys competed in the game tonight. I challenged them in terms of how they were going to respond. Respond with your ability, your positive energy and attitude, how you block, how you tackle, the enthusiasm that you play with. I was pleased with the way the guys competed and had fun. There wasn't a lot of anxiety. There wasn't always perfect execution - but to me, that's a start. It is kind of time to answer the bell and now the challenge is to build on that. We've got a bye week coming up, we've got a lot of guys that we need to try to get healthy and I think we'll get some guys back. I think the number one thing is we want to build on the chemistry of how we competed in the game today. The defense played well, other than that last drive. We should be able to take the air out of the ball on offense. We couldn't run the ball very well tonight and that's something we definitely need to improve on. Hopefully Bryce (Young) getting a week off here will really help him get back healthy. The guys had a good week of preparation and they went out and played a good game. I'm really pleased and proud of them."

The 1992 National Championship team was recognized before the game. The stadium ovation for Coach Stallings brought a tear to my eye

This is Bryce's picture at the top of his drop. 3rd and 10 from the 31. At the snap Burton, Brooks and Earle were in a bunch to the left, Latu short split right, Roydell to Bryce's right in the backfield. What's wrong here. I'll go first.
Let's start on the left where Bryce is looking. Look at the spacing or lack thereof between Burton (running out of the picture), Brooks and Earle. They're in the same half of the field at essentially the same depth. The guy on the left hash basically is covering Brooks and Earle. Brooks and Earle are running into the teeth of the defense. I'm not fully convinced Earle is even running a route.
Latu has no chance on the right. The route has to be deeper or Roydell has to get out into the flat to hold the underneath defender. Neither of those things happen.
Look at the posture of the defenders. They've barely had to move since the ball was snapped. Yet they're in great position because we're running right to them. Also this play took forever to develop even this far.
These are the play designs Bryce is dealing with. Yet, he ad-libbed this into a TD to Earle. It shouldn't be that difficult.

How does Saban not see this and change anything? We have how many offense analysts? Some guy on a message board can see it but they can’t? I know our OC doesn’t want to change, but can’t the boss man tell him to. Is everyone scared of O’Brien?

Note the vast expanse of open field to Bryce's left. I noticed several times in the game that Miss State completely disrespected the QB run. Which is understandable given Bryce's shoulder issue. Still, he probably could have picked up 10 or 15 yds without any (legal) contact.

This is my one complaint about Bryce's game. I don't want him running 20 times, but I wish he would take the 6 - 8 yard gains when they're available to keep the chains moving (or put us in a favorable position).
Honestly, he's at a greater risk for injury if he tries to stay in the pocket, due to a blind-side hit, instead of running for a bit and sliding.
Edited to add: If we had an OC worth a cup of warm spit, this wouldn't be an issue. How many times did we worry about Mac scrambling to pick up some yards? None, because we had receivers open.

2003 boring arse NFL route trees and zero creativity

Which is understandable given that Bryce simply will not run, even if Moses himself is there to part the Defense.

Dude can’t slide for shite, which is probably why he doesn’t run more often.

I'm going to get attacked and downvoted to hell and back but...........Maybe Saban really isn't interested anymore. I mean we've seen it with the lack of adjustments on both sides of the ball throughout last year and this year.
If we as fans can look at the footage and point out the obvious short-comings of the team (non-existent/laughable route trees, idiotic play calling, 35 yd delayed blitzes, not helping a run-first safety from getting burnt 27 times in one game, etc) and the coordinators inability/unwillingness to make even the smallest of changes to help out then Saban 100% sees it. So that brings me back to above, does Saban care anymore or is he just trying to get thru one last season?
I appreciate everything that coach Saban has done for Alabama over the past 15 years but even the best lose interest. Could it be that Saban finally has?

Watched the game again yesterday after coming home from TTown…. I know this is not ground breaking but we have issues beyond the usual BOB and at times PG. I have said this before and some don’t agree but we have missed mightily in OL recruiting. Not talking about how many stars a player was bc they all are mostly highly rated. We don’t have Marrone to blame anymore either . . Our coaches don’t help the situation by being creative or doing what the players are capable of doing but we have personnel issues as well . Coming off a loss, needing a statement game , Homecoming, night game etc and we rush for 29 yards against MSU…
Half of that came on Gibbs TD run, and outgained fir the entire game ( I know stats aren’t everything but I trust my eyes) If MSU catches a couple of balls or the refs don’t let us get handsy in pass coverage , this would have been a much different game . Hell two scores were basically busted plays . I bleed crimson and always will but I am starting to reel in my expectations for this team and hope I am wrong but the switch definitely needs to be turned on for some of our players or this will be a disappointing finish for us
