What exactly are Metchie's injuries? That article makes it seem like he's still banged up.
It was a different time back then but I remember not too long ago when guys would get hurt and never really get healthy. AC Carter is one that comes to mind at receiver. We dont ever really see shite like that anymore. But we also havent seen Metchie on the field since the championship game and even then he was banged up.
I hope he's 100% but at this point it doesn't sound like it.

JoJo Earle, receiver
Might the next Jaylen Waddle already be on Alabama's campus?
Former 4-star signee JoJo Earle has impressed Nick Saban and might be the Tide's punt returner as a true freshman this fall. The former track star from Aledo, Texas has been provided several opportunities to work his way into the lineup in preseason camp and it appears he is ready to contribute.
"Because he’s a shorter, yet explosive, wide receiver from the state of Texas, Earle draws some comparisons to Jaylen Waddle. I’m not ready to go there just yet, but Earle has impressed since he joined the Crimson Tide program earlier this summer and he seems poised to be used both as a wideout and punt returner as a true freshman -- just like Waddle in 2018," says Alabama insider Charlie Potter.
Earle was rated the nation's sixth-best receiver in the class of 2021.

Drew Dearmand talking said Owens is having issues with snaps. How in the world can a 6th yr senior with plenty of experience start having trouble with snapping consistency?

On a brighter note, sounds like McClellan is going to be really good this year. We are loaded at RB.

I respect Owens as a leader and program guy but Dalcourt is a better player. Anyone who has seen them both player at center can clearly see it. Dalcourt is talented. I just can't forget when Owens got bulldozed by Javon Kinlaw at South Carolina two years ago. Dickerson took his spot on the next series and the rest is history.

Bryce is a brand new starter. This team will go a s far as the OL can carry this offense. The lack of consistency due to these nagging injuries is troublesome.

Thanks for posting. Bryce with another good showing is great news

I'm not concerned about Bryce, RB's, or WR's... It's all on the OL if the offense is going to keep rolling.
I'm curious why Ekiyor stopped playing center. If he slid back over to C where he played early in his career the OL could possibly look like this:
Neal, Cohen, Ekiyor, George, Latham

We could possibly see Owens at RT if Dalcourt takes over at center. Im also curious if Saban will use a 6th OL like in years before.
And where is Camar Wheaton?

Is strange nobody has seen him or him mentioned by Coach

The OL will be good. They may have a few growing pains but nothing we haven’t dealt with before.
Wheaton is a 5 star around a shite load of other 5 star studs in a 5 star world. His time will come.

Most everyone is pulling for Latham to win the RT job. But Owens is going to be involved somewhere.
