Fresno State had some tough teams when I was in college. They took 2005 USC to the brink in the Coliseum. Reggie Bush went off on them. Awesome game.

Remember it vividly. Without bush they weren’t winning that game. He played out of his mind.

That was the game where he won the Heisman. No doubt without his heroics they lose that game. USC had an awesome offense but their defense was average. I remember the media hyping them to be the best college team ever before the Rose Bowl against Texas. I had a feeling that Texas would have an excellent chance to win based off of the way USC had barely won several times that year.

I’m awful at linking videos but there is a highlight video that includes his insane performance but also the stellar performance by Fresno in the same video. Worth a watch.

So players can have agents now? How is this going to be controlled? Where would the line be? Interesting to see where this all leads to.

There is no line. Players can get money funneled to them so easy now. This is going to be wild. The basketball arena might never get upgraded because all of the money is going to players lol

I just can’t get my head around any of this. Never in the history of any collegiate athletics has any college football player received money for playing college football. Never

Never

Never

Never

fricking

Ever

Has there been

Any

Payments of any sort

No cash payments, not a “no show” job where the player just draws a check, not a car, not a loan laundered through multiple parties, not a cash handshake in the locker room from some old creepy white dude, No cars with a favorable loan structure, not an influx of capital into a player’s dad’s church.

The Creator created paradise for us and we ruined it by allowing this. I remember praying with my brother because when he was in school because a company paid him some money while he learned to do the job they had for him. I think they called it an internship. (Intership, sounds like something Joe Bidem would calla pedo Buttfrickapalooza).

But he was wild arse scared that it was super wrong but our preacher explained to him that it was only a sin and an affront to The Almighty if he happened to play a sport and get money at school for it. I think the shite was in Leviticus or some shite. I don’t know, I was probably stoned.

Never fricking Ever has a college football player received any sort of monetary compensati while in school and I fear if we start now, God will throw this bitch arse universe in the fricking big arse God size dumpster he keeps around and start the frick over with a new Earth in hopes that twe won’t have the hubris to frick with his shite up like we did just now.

interesting piece on al.com about Kenny Stabler's

Had a huge crush on Kenny as a teenage girl and was the reason I visited Alabama when selecting colleges (once I got on campus, it was a done deal!).

They don’t make ‘em like him anymore more and screw Finebaum and his holier than thou attitude. Stabler’s true character shows in the way his friends in the article speak of him and remember him. Let’s see what people have to say about Pawwl when he is dead.

Don’t you know people like him live to be 120 years old so they can be bitter old men forever? And very few of their targets get to see how they die friendless and forgotten because of their treatment of everyone. Coach Bryant had it right. Once when asked if he would contribute $10 to help bury a sportswriter who had passed away, Bear handed the man a $20 bill and said, “Here’s a twenty. Bury two of ‘em!” Paul Finebaum is a parasite and a disgrace to his profession.

He should be banned from ever coming near the University and our program again. Just a pimple on our arse for thirty years.

JMO #19 is a really talented player but he doesn't play every down like it's the most important down. This could be his money year.

I think he means Billingsley. I havent seen Jahleel be a loafer. But there are games where he doesn't have the same impact as his big games. I kinda figure that was a game plan issue. He almost always delivered when called upon, from what i remember.

And he might actually be the best TE of the saban era. It's possible.
