In order to reduce the amount of ‘friendly’ exchanges and meltdowns on this board the NCAA should consider abandoning the Early Signing Day (NSD1) and Leftover Signing Day (NSD2) format and replace it by one National Signing Day and one National Declaration Day.

If that proves to be too boring, both days can be followed by a 3 day window during which people like Zachary Evans and Dylan Moses’ father can backtrack on their decisions.

Just thinking through the rumors, I think Tua is gone.

I think Tua had decided to return last week. I think he was just going to announce his return on Twitter/Instagram. Then, he went to see the specialist in New York Friday/Saturday and got bad news. The bad news has resulted in the decision to go pro and get paid while he can, and that is why Alabama decided on Saturday to do an actual press conference today.

So if Saban leaves, does Sark or Golding get the job?

I think he is gone too. I know with social media, they can get the word out quickly these days but I think ALL the players declaring should be at the press conference . JMO

Tua or no Tua, Saban will stick around as HC as long as he feels he can give it his all. He has stated over and over again that he doesn’t know what to do with himself if he’s not coaching.

After what happened at USC Sarkisian should be content with being a OC (either in college or the NFL). Too much stress for him being a head coach. If Sark would leave, then Chip Long could be an option. Long has a proven track record, has Alabama roots and Saban has had several discussions with him the past years when he was looking for a new OC.
Golding will be a successful DC, just not at the University of Alabama. Derrick Ansley seems a solid choice as his successor.

Mike Shula is available. He's an alum, and he has a lot of experience as an NFL OC so you know he'd be bringing a strong offense to the table.

Is Dave Rader still selling furniture for Haverty's? He might listen to a call.

I mean, which Mike? They were all so good. Dubose still has more SEC championships than Dabo and Cristobal combined and you don't see people clamoring for him to be Saban's ultimate replacement.

Exactly - just like "S The Coach" stickers. Multi-purpose.

Don't sleep on Kirby begging to come back. He will soon experience the realization that sports teams in the state of Georgia are only capable of winning a championship once every 30-40 years and Atlanta United stole his thunder.

We could also promote Sark. How could it possibly backfire?
