With how the game was going, I had little confidence we would’ve won even had he made the FG. Either AU will score a FG on the resulting drive or win in OT (probably would come down to FGs).

Very classy. Much more so than some of our fans.

What would everyone think about getting Boise St in the Cotton Bowl? If Memphis loses the rematch with Cincinnati, Boise St probably gets the Group of 5 spot.
I would love to see that matchup, it would probably be the only Group of 5 team Bama wouldn't overlook.

Probably Orange Bowl -- Bama vs Virginia.

Orange Bowl would be nice too. Miami is certainly better then the Dallas area this time of year.

Yeah, but it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more expensive. Cmon Dallas...I'd prefer Nola to both. Either way, I have somewhere to stay for free in Dallas and Nola. Last year to fly to Miami/fly out next day it was 2K I believe. I didn't go because it was just ridiculously priced.

Postseason CFP and bowl matchups will be announced on Sunday. 247Sports will continue to update these projections by the hour as invites and new intel trickles in. Our matchups are based on the bowl selection process with regards to 2019-20 specific tie-ins and league guidelines.
Citrus Bowl: Michigan vs. Alabama
Outback Bowl: Wisconsin vs. Tennessee
Gator Bowl: Minnesota vs. Auburn
![]()
247Sports intel: We expect Alabama to slide to the Citrus Bowl, who last hosted the Crimson Tide (vs. Michigan State) in 2010. Orlando gets first pick of SEC teams after the New Year's Six and the Crimson Tide is a no-brainer. The Citrus Bowl gets its pick of available Big Ten teams after New Year's Six selections are made and the draw of a potential Michigan-Alabama battle would be salivating. An interesting note to the Citrus Bowl's preferred teams — final rankings won't matter. The Citrus could take Auburn over Alabama, but that seems unlikely.
NEW YEAR'S SIX BOWL PROJECTIONS
Orange Bowl: Virginia vs. Florida
Rose Bowl: Penn State vs. Oregon
Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma vs. Georgia
Cotton Bowl: Baylor vs. Memphis
247Sports intel: With Alabama taking a major tumble in Tuesday's latest Playoff rankings, the New Year's Six is out of the picture for the Crimson Tide as the SEC's fifth highest-ranked team. Alabama's move out of the Orange Bowl pushes Florida to that spot and gets Baylor to the Cotton vs. Memphis. The Tigers will need to hold up their end of the bargain on Saturday in the AAC title game to get there, however. As the first teams out of the Playoff, Oklahoma and Georgia will likely square off in the Sugar Bowl — Big 12 champion vs. SEC runner-up.
CFP SEMIFINAL PROJECTIONS
Fiesta Bowl: #2 LSU vs. #3 Clemson
Peach Bowl: #1 Ohio State vs. #4 Utah

It has only been a few days since the season ended. They haven't even gone home for Christmas yet. I think once they get away from the team for a while and start thinking about what is best for them as individuals, most of them will decide to declare. I think best case scenario is that one of Leatherwood and Wills, one of Ruggs and Smitty, Moses, and McKinney all come back. I think that is the absolute best we can reasonably hope for.

If Moses and McKinney come back, the defense is going to be sick.
I would bet that both tackles leave and Ruggs leaves. Smitty comes back I think.

It feels like a perfect storm for a bunch to come back.
- frustrating season
- good but not early 1st draft grades and/or uncertainty with a lot of guys (Tua/Najee/Moses/McKinney/Smitty)
I don't think they all come back, but it wouldn't shock me if some of them combine those factors and decide to give it another run.
Maybe that's just by bammerness talking though.

This is a really really really good RB Class. Najee would be competing with Dobbins, Swift, Helaire, Taylor, Etienne, among others. It’ll be interesting to see what he does
