Alabama safety Caleb Downs was named the Southeastern Conference Co-Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
The weekly conference honor is the second for Downs and the Tide's fourth this season. He was also selected as Freshman of the Week following the Middle Tennessee matchup.

Man we are pretty much past the point of Milroe getting replaced, so I wouldn't think too much about that.

Where are you from? Ain't shite about football that gets you a permanent starting job. If we lose this game then folks will want Milroe replaced. I'm saying if he plays badly don't keep him in there all game long. Pull him and give Simpson/Lonergan an opportunity.

There was a time to try Lonergan and Simpson it happened and passed. It resulted with Milroe as the starter heading into two straight SEC road games. Nothing is changing at QB heading into our biggest road game of the season.

Read what I've said. This is the first defense with a pulse Milroe has played since Texas. If Milroe stinks it up he's gone.

Would have to disagree. If the defense is playing well and keeping the score low, but Milroe looks rattled or just stinks it up for the first half like the Texas game, I'd be more than happy to see Simpson roll out there to start the third quarter. I don't think many on here would think the game was already over if that happened either.
