For the price, I guess.
But I'll say it was better than some other pizza places that came and went when I was in school

I don't even really remember if Bama Bino was all that good. It probably was. What I remember is it was the only delivery pizza place in town until Domino's came to town around 83 or 84, and then Domino's only had 1 or 2 stores with a limited delivery area. Bama Bino had 3 or 4 stores from what I remember - one on Hackberry near the Jack's, one on Skyland Blvd near Skyland Park subdivision, one in Northport(forget its location there) and I think one in the Alberta area. We didn't get a Domino's for my area of town until 86 or 87. Papa John's didn't show up until the early 90's. I guess there was Pizza Hut, but their delivery hadn't really caught on yet.

During my time we had Chanelo’s,Pizza Inn, Pasquale’s and one deep dish place , name I can’t recall. Solomon’s was the bomb.

Pasquale's was the one in the mall by the movie theater, right? That place gave me horrible diarrhea when dad took us there before seeing Raiders Of the Lost Ark.

But around that time(early 80's) there were a few other pizza places, but none that delivered that I recall. Definitely none delivered to our house except Bama Bino. There was Pizza Inn, Mr Gatti's, Pasquale's, and I think Godfather's was open then. There was also some place next to Tutwiler. Stuffer's of something like that.

At least he didn't call 37th street ( or whatever it's named now) "Jug Factory Road".

Further updates to this story. The pizzeria part of Pastor’s Kitchen is apparently going to be part of the new restaurant that is going up on 43 near Northside. Should be open soon I think.
