I don’t believe you can throw Sexton in that mix. Oats had nothing to do with Sexton and he’s been gone for years now
Not to mention Kira hasn’t even declared for the draft. You’re just putting first round on him to suit your narrative.

Cecil doesn’t know where he’s going to sign, but I also don’t think Cecil sends that tweet if he least hasn’t heard a little whisper of something. Usually not his style.

Don’t get me wrong, I hope we get Primo and the JUCO kid as well, but we HAVE to get a big man. State absolutely abused us inside last night.

not reading this entire last 2 pages but Oats offense works on hitting the outside shots. It is not good enough right now to bang low to get points when the outside shots are not falling.
and with Petty being out for a few games it not longer then it is going to be hard to win many down the stretch.

Yeah, when he went down, my last slivers of hope to sneak into the tournament died. I don't think he's going to miss a ton of time, but we couldn't afford to lose him for even a half.
At this point, I'm just going to watch the games with an eye toward the future. Can't wait to see what Oats can do with a little more depth and skill in a couple areas.
I almost stopped to get a six pack before the game. I was wishing I had when I saw Petty writhing in pain.

I agree 100%, and just hope that our coaches agree. We will never maake the ncaa tournament with big men like we are playing. Im a little concerned with the "we just need to make a few more 3's" narrative. We need to get a lot more physical with the bigs. We dont need big men shooting 3's. The need to rebound, and play defense first of all.

I think Cecil is the best journalist in the business, but I also don’t think he’s immune to being salty about how frustrating this season has been. I’d be highly surprised if we weren’t Primo’s school of choice based off of what he’s said, the confidence shown from other recruiting guys, and the fact that Keon has already signed on with us. Besides it’s not like it’s Ohio State and Oregon that we’re battling against here. It’s Creighton.

If we do whiff on Primo, I become seriously concerned on the staff's ability to close on a recruit. Like Cecil said in one of his later tweets, things were looking positive in October/November on a lot of guys too.

I think Cecil is a little tired of the basketball program always falling short. Basically he's like us and is a perpetual pessimist. He also posted this:

I think the whole reason Primo reclassified was because Oats asked him to. So I would be shocked if we don’t get him.....which probably means we won’t
