That’s a good arse transfer. I’ll take it!

It never gets easy

Alabama infielder Mason Swinney has entered the transfer portal.
In 2024, Swinney played in 29 games (15 starts) and batted .232 with three doubles, six RBI and 12 runs scored as a sophomore.

Mason Swinney was never going to contribute to this team. Hope he does well wherever he goes.

He showed some promise early but once Snell got going as the DH his opportunities pretty much dried up. I don’t think the staff thought he could glove it well enough to play 2nd or he’d probably have gotten some chances there as a RHH option, especially when EBlin was out.

I don’t care for these current transfer portal rankings one bit

Yeah so far this portal season has been weak compared to last year. What is even worse is seeing AU haul a great group while we are sitting on our hands

Here’s their top 100 player rankings

3 Top 50 players…. Seems pretty good to me . Some arms wouldn’t hurt though

Yeah looks like I was wrong. Not bad actually. You're right, we definitely need arms

We're already at 316! committed players out of the portal. It sounds like a lot until you realize that's only 7% of the players in the portal (4,576).
ACC: 48 commitments
Big12: 23
Big10: 30
Pac12: 10
SEC: 54

Auburn has some volume but I’m not that impressed with the quality coming in. To me they’ve reached on some guys.

Alton needs to get a lot better. Maybe he will get the coaching he needs to thrive. Just didn’t click this year.

His veto was down. He struggled throwing strikes.
But on the other hand, there is NO DOUBT that he's got the stuff.
With that said, I wouldn't pull for my mama if she pitched for Georgia so that says what I hope happens when he pitches.

IMO you only bring in guys you know are better than the ones you have. I think (would like to believe) that we simply are only targeting a few guys who are BETTER than what we have.
Auburn on the other hand, stunk last year. Therefore anyone they bring in is BETTER than what they have.
