These guys came out of a very difficult situation and played their asses off to get to this point. Outstanding character and play when they could've just said "frick it".

I’ll bet Chris Stewart stroked out over the three run homer. Wish I’d been listening.

It feels good to enter Hoover with the goal being to host a regional rather than just make one.

Between Senior Night and two wins today and a series sweep and a winning conference record…

For those wondering about Alabama's hosting chances ... in the past 10 seasons, the best RPI from an SEC team that did not host was 2018 Auburn at 14. It was 15-15 in SEC play. Alabama, at 16-14, sits at 10 after today's doubleheader sweep

Start at the 2:05 mark for the lead up to the go ahead run and the 2:08 mark for Drew’s home run

Baseball Takes Both Ends of Friday Doubleheader to Sweep Ole Miss

The Crimson Tide swept the Rebels for a second consecutive season

Alabama baseball secured the series sweep of Ole Miss with a pair of wins in Friday's doubleheader at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The Crimson Tide finished the 2023 regular season at 38-17 overall and 16-14 in Southeastern Conference play.

The Tide claimed a 12-2 win across seven innings in game one before a 5-1 victory in the nightcap to complete the sweep of the Rebels.

From Interim Head Coach Jason Jackson
"We had an awesome Senior Day. We have a huge group of seniors, and they deserve this, they deserve where we're at right now. They've put a lot of time and effort into this, and I couldn't be prouder of them, couldn't be happier for them. Everything that you're seeing right now, these guys deserve it and they've earned every single bit of it."

GAME ONE
Alabama defeated Ole Miss, 12-2, in seven innings to start the day's doubleheader and clinch the series win.

The Crimson Tide jumped out to an 8-0 advantage after three innings, scoring two apiece in the first and third frames to go with a four-run second. Ole Miss got on the board with one in the fifth and added one in the seventh, but UA answered with a four-run home half to push the advantage to 10 and end the game after seven innings of play.

All nine starters reached base safely for the Tide with eight of the nine recording at least one hit. Jim Jarvis led the way with a 3-for-5 showing that included a double and team-high tying three runs scored. Caden Rose matched Jarvis in runs as part of his 2-for-3 day that included a home run, one RBI and a walk. Andrew Pinckney led in RBI with three.

Garrett McMillan (3-2) earned his third win of the season with another impressive outing. The senior allowed one run on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts across 5.2 innings of work.

GAME TWO
Despite only four hits in game two, Alabama was able to secure a 5-1 win over the Rebels to complete the series sweep.

Both teams scored one apiece in the third with the Tide's run coming on a Bryce Eblin solo homer. The offenses would go quiet until the eighth when Alabama was able to move in front and add insurance with a four-run frame. A Tommy Seidl RBI-single gave UA the lead before a three-run home run by Drew Williamson put things out of reach.

Jacob McNairy was solid once again, contributing 5.2 innings of one-run baseball. He gave up just five hits and issued two walks to go with six strikeouts before turning the ball over to the bullpen. Aidan Moza (3-1) earned the win with 3.1 scoreless relief frames that included three strikeouts.

What an incredible turn around. It turns your stomach to think our former coach was throwing games but how can you look at the results since he's been gone and not come to that conclusion?

what is the latest on some of our pitchers with injuries. Jean was Tommy John or something long term. Hitt, will he be ready for NCAA time?

From rolltide.com:

Underwent season-ending surgery after missing his start against Auburn

ETA: Ben Hess' bio says this:

Sidelined after his start at Arkansas and will not return to action this season

Imagine the depth of this staff if we had Jean, Hitt and Hess available.

wow..I had read somewhere earlier that he might be back by NCAA time. Not good for depth should we get into the losers bracket on SEC or NCAA play. Anyone know if Jean will pitch again for Bama

Looks like Florida will win the conference title unless Arkansas comes from behind against Vanderbilt.

I would spend a night in jail just to punch him in face a couple of times.

Remember when LSU fans gave us crap for having 2 of the top 3 in the draft and we didn’t win our division? Well LSU has by far the best roster and didn’t win the west division.
