Damn. Talk about getting it laid to us. Pays to have your AD on the committee as the chair.

How on God’s green earth are Kentucky, South Carolina and Auburn above us.

Edit: Kentucky at 12 is insane

We got fricking hosed.

Higher RPI than Auburn, six more wins, three fewer losses, beat them head to head 3 out of 4 and they get a higher seed.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Can't justify the snub. Especially with the Barn AD as the committee chair and them getting a somewhat dubious hosting nod. They still decided to punish us for Bohannon in the only way they could get away with though. That's my read on it at least.

So we going with Furtado against Nicholls to save Holman, McMillan and McNairy?

So 15 of the Top 16 RPI teams get to host.

The one not ranked in the Top 16?

Auburn.

The 13 seed.

Get the frick out of here.

I don’t think so. I think you go Holman game one. Or at least one of your main starters.

I would "save" Holman for the match against the winner of the 2/3 game.

Furtado was lights out against Kentucky last week and Nicholls is nowhere near as talented as the Wildcats.

I like our draw. BC is a good club but that's to be expected with a #2. We've seen Troy and Samford a bunch. They're solid clubs but nothing scary.

The potential Super matchup is a real bitch though. That's where we truly got the hose.

Just hope we play good, solid, fundamental baseball. I trust our arms to keep us in games and I think we'll hit average pitching when it inevitably shows up late in the tournament.

Luckily the core of this team got NCAA experience 2 years ago in Ruston, so they shouldn't be too wide eyed.

I thought the team reaction was a little odd, almost shocked, guess they weren’t expecting that seeding either.

Just one more “chip” to add to their shoulders.

Even if we don’t win it all, I hope we deny a lot of teams chances!

The top overall seed has lost in the supers each of the last two seasons. Let's make it three in a row.

Yea honestly I'm more than ok with this. You want a good regional draw and we got that (still hard, but the tournament is hard). And then we got a big ole target in the Supers which will get everything we got.
