I didn’t consider the fact that the Met has a lot larger dimensions. Maybe that leads to some long, loud outs for Furtado

I think if we win two games in Hoover we are going to be hosting for sure. If we lose our first one - hold on to your arse, but with so many other teams hovering there, I don't like it.
A win over RPI #2 would be a pretty closing statement even if they dropped the next one.
I think they need one more win but who knows.

We are at 38 wins. Get to 40 and were hosting.

We beat Kentucky tomorrow and we make it to the double elimination stage. If we win I like our chances with Holman, McNairy and McMillan to make a deep run. Just need the bats to wake up early and often.

I haven’t been to a game at the new field, do we still have a spot in the outfield where you can pull up a truck with a cooler and watch?

No - that went away with the stadium renovation. That area is now the right field section for the students and the Sarah Peterson Plaza to recognize the ‘other’ sports. There’s no place to park with a view of the field. You have to come inside to watch.

USA Today
As the SEC continues to establish itself as the top conference in college baseball, its coaches continue to reap the benefits in their compensation.
Eight public-school coaches will make over $1 million in 2023, according to salary records obtained by the USA TODAY Sports Network.
Vanderbilt coach Tim Corbin routinely makes over $1 million, but because Vanderbilt is a private school not subject to public records laws, his most recent salary figures won't become available until tax records are released in 2024. The most recent records available are from 2021, when he was the highest-paid coach in the SEC and the only one to make over $2 million. However, his pay in the 2021 calendar year also included the actual payout of nearly $650,000 in deferred compensation that the school had reported in prior years.
Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco saw a raise of $425,000 after winning the 2022 College World Series. However, in 2023, Bianco's Rebels finished last in the SEC.
Auburn's Butch Thompson was the other big winner from 2022, as he saw a bump of $250,000 after leading the Tigers to the College World Series.
Corbin received almost $900,000 more in 2021 than in 2020 after leading the Commodores to a runner-up finish in the 2021 College World Series. He was given an extension in December 2021.
South Carolina and Kentucky got the most bang for their bucks during the 2023 season. Both have coaches who make $600,000 or less, and both are on track to potentially host regionals.
Alabama's Brad Bohannon was fired in May amid a gambling probe, but he was set to be the second-lowest paid coach in the SEC in 2023.
The SEC Tournament begins Tuesday in Hoover, Ala.

As fast as this Tennessee-A&M game is going we might have our first pitch before 4 o'clock.
Posted on 5/23/23 at 2:39 pm to TideSaint
I think it starts at 4:30 regardless. Could be wrong
Posted on 5/23/23 at 2:42 pm to BhamBama13
I thought they give a 30 minute break in between games.
Posted on 5/23/23 at 2:55 pm to TideSaint
We are the start of "Session 2". So I think they have it planned kind of like the basketball tournament does. 2 Games in the day, clear out for extended break (assuming time permits), then 2 games in the PM.
Weather delay now anyays
