A nice write up by the Bourne Braves on Eblin’s mound appearance last night

Bryce Eblin Makes Pitching Appearance After All-Star Recognition

“Taking the mound; I haven’t done that in a while! My freshman year of college, I pitched a little bit for ‘Bama. And yeah, it was a lot of fun.”

4th-rder Grayson Hitt signs w/@Dbacks for $1.2 million (pick 112 value = $597,500). @AlabamaBSB LHP, looked like 1st-rder in fall but had TJ surgery this spring, mid-90s fastball/upper-80s cutter/mid-80s slider makes for nice combo when healthy & at his best. @MLBDraft

New staff definitely has some rebuilding to do. There are a few good starting pieces returning though with Mac, Eblin and Hamiter having played a decent amount of ball. We’ve got some good arms with Hess, Davis, Moza, Quick and maybe one or two others I’m not thinking of now. But we need a lot more pieces. Hopefully we hit with some of these transfers.

Reading the tea leaves that seems to me to have been the likely destination from the start. LSU has a program they invest highly in and they are pursuing these transfers with big NIL promises. We just don't have the resources right now to compete with that.

6th-rder Hunter Furtado signs w/@Pirates for $348,900 (pick 167 value = $351,400). @AlabamaBSB LHP, 93-96 mph fastball to 98, low-80s slider & upper-70s changeup miss bats, interesting stuff if he can command it better. @MLBDraft

I still can't believe he didn't get drafted. Dude batted .370 in the SEC and hit almost 20 HRs.

Gotta think his age was a big factor. Most guys that play in the big leagues have broken into the show by the time they are Seidl’s age.

Good get. You’d have to think he will be a major piece and has a ton of starting experience
