would have been nice to get some challenging ABs a few innings ago. they had a couple of innings go very quickly.

We competed our arse off.

Have to get better talent wise and fundamentally. Should return most of these guys next year. Big year.

Fun year in here with you guys. Roll Tide.

Would have been nice to have Dylan Smith today but we decided to throw him against Birmingham Southern

To be fair if we'd thrown McNairy yesterday we probably would have lost.

Losing Lee, Smith, Praytor, Wilson do we take a step back next year?

I have no reason to be optimistic next year.

I think the depth of arms next year should be better and that should make a lot of difference. But who knows. If Smith comes back and we have Smith and Jean on Friday/Saturday that's a pretty solid duo.

But we have to have guys get better. I'm not entirely sold that it's gonna happen.

Reeves was obviously banged up this year. He could be a difference maker next year.

Williamson also took a step backward.

Need those two guys to step up next year for sure.

One positive from this loss is that we would have given up 20+ runs tonight to NC State so at least we don’t have to suffer through that.

It was a good year with the injuries. We competed to the end.

Let’s be honest, at the beginning of the season, you got asked about how you would like this season to go, but the caveat is we lose Prielipp and Jean. Everyone hear would have taken a 13 win SEC record, 2-2 record at Hoover, and a 1-2 record at regionals….I think we would all take it.

SOG made a good point, most of our young guys didn’t get a chance to take part in Cape Cod leagues and get some development. We are showing improvement and recruiting well. I trust Byrne to address any issues he sees with the program, and I trust Bo to improve next year.

Roll Tide and here’s to next year. Let the downvoting begin.

Agreed

I still feel good about the future. It's far from guaranteed, but I think we've permanently moved out of the terrible cellar dweller team.

It's gonna be really hard to move from #8-12 team in the SEC to cracking the top half of the league. We certainly have to be better at little things. We aren't going to be as talented top to bottom as elite teams - we have to beat them with development and solid, fundamental play. Unfortunately we actually lost games because of that this year. Has to change.
