Alabama baseball coach Brad Bohannon said he “erred on the side of caution” and did not host a watch party for his team this morning.
They ended up being picked for their first NCAA regional since 2014.
“For once I wish I hadn’t done that. I wish I had been more aggressive."

We play NC State first. Huge difference. I know you were just copying from the article.

Our friend, Mitch Gaspard, is an assistant at La Tech. Only fitting that we win this regional.

Goes without saying that La Tech also gave us Greg Goff. We must beat them 20-0

Brad Bohannon on #Alabama baseball earning a berth in the NCAA Tournament: "I think, over time, we don't wanna maybe celebrate limping into a regional or just getting there by the skin of our teeth, but considering where we've been and where we've come from, it's a huge deal."

I agree with Bo, it is a heck of an accomplishment with how far we have came and the injuries this year

Bo kind of patting himself on the back while at the same time kicking his own azz. Not a bad plan.

Yea I hate that they didn’t do a watch party but I guess I kinda get it.

Also, on a hopefully not weird side-note, SummerofGeorge I notice that is says you live in Brookhaven, GA. Me and my wife live in Chamblee ourselves, so just a town over. I had been a long-time member of 247 and Rivals before, but just got tired of paying and decided to try out things over here. I'm loving how much more people keep up with Bama Baseball. Definitely a small, but proud crew.
That's awesome! We're in Ashford Park, so on our walks we literally walk into Chamblee half the time. Love Southbound and Blue Door.
This place has some great discussion, especially with basketball and baseball.

Alabama Baseball's Brad Bohannon: "I'm not going to apologize for our conference record"
The Crimson Tide is headed to its first NCAA Regional since 2014 and is the first postseason appearance for Bohannon as a head coach

More Bohannon (from the press conference):
quote:
"When I got hired, I felt a real burden to our fans and our kids to make our program better," Bohannon said. "To start to deliver on that is rewarding. We've got so many people that support us and are a part of it and that deserve for us to be good and to win. We've just got some crazy faithful fans that have been unbelievably supportive and patient — more so than me. There's been times that I've been severely frustrated, disappointed and they've been behind us."

What Alabama baseball will need to do to reach Omaha for College World Series
Summary of the teams in Bama’s bracket:
No. 16 seed Louisiana Tech (40-18): The Bulldogs are playing host to their first NCAA tournament regional in program history. They're fresh off a loss in the Conference USA Tournament title game to No. 12 seed Old Dominion. They last reached the NCAA Tournament in 2016 but are back now with a few impressive victories this season against the SEC: the Bulldogs defeated both Arkansas and Ole Miss in 2021. Louisiana Tech also features a familiar face: Mitch Gaspard. The former Alabama coach serves as Louisiana Tech's hitting coach and recruiting coordinator. He spent seven seasons with the Crimson Tide. And he's made an impact. Louisiana Tech ranks No. 9 in the country with a .309 team batting average and fourth with 590 hits. Infielder Hunter Wells has 89 of those.
Rider (23-16): The Rider baseball team comes from Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and plays in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Broncs earned a spot in the tournament after winning the MAAC championship, going 5-0. Rider hasn't reached the NCAA Tournament since 2010.
NC State (30-17): The Wolfpack reach an NCAA Regional for the 10th time over the past 11 years. NC State is the No. 2 seed in the Ruston Regional and most recently fell to Duke 1-0 in the ACC championship. The Wolfpack faced only one team that earned a top-16 national bid this season, No. 10 seed Notre Dame. The two teams played a three-game series, and NC State won one of those games. The Wolfpack features junior outfielder Jonny Butler, whose .395 batting average is in the top 25 in the country.
