As you stated earlier, Hess really needs to step up his performances going forward. 9.27 ERA in conference games. 17 BB in 22.1 innings.

Wow!!! I still cannot believe we won that series after a rough week last week where nothing went right. Here's to knocking off yet another #1 team this weekend. SEC is brutal

How good was our pitching this weekend? Out of 28 innings, Arkansas had 1 inning where they "manufactured" runs. In the 3rd Friday, they scored a run on a single and another on a wild pitch. Their other 6 runs on the weekend all scored on HRs, and 4 of those were solo homers.

Depends. If you go into the tournament with 13 wins and win a couple in Hoover to get to 15, you generally have a good shot at a regional, especially in a year like this year when you have a series against half of the top 10.
If you go in at 14 wins and winless in Hoover, you’re still in a regional.
We got in a regional in 2021 with a 12-17 record and two wins in Hoover.
If we wouldn’t have gotten those tournament wins we absolutely wouldn’t have gotten into regional.
Only in the SEC can you go 13-17 in conference and be considered for a regional.
