Honestly not that concerned about today's game. If we had lost because they dominated us on the glass or we had another 15+ turnover game I'd be worried. But that's not the case. We just had a bad shooting game. It happens. If we shot our average from 3 today we win a close one
My thoughts exactly.

Agreed but AU just a bad matchup for bama, we had trouble stopping them and they didn’t miss at FT line. Hard to stop a team that doesn’t turn it over or miss FTs. I don’t like our chances against them at AU nor in the tournament

They shot 68% and missed 10 free throws. What are we doing here?

I don't think I was wrong at all for thinking this team should be title favorites coming into the year. In fact, considering the regression Sears has had and us losing Wrightsell early, we are performing better than we should be. If Sears ever regains last season's form, then we become the best team in the country. Crazy that the player who had the best season of all time in Crimson has been reduced to an X-factor the following season.

Really sucks we couldn’t ever fully climb the hill and seize the game. Their ability to hit big shot after big shot in tight game situations was incredible. Just sucks for us to shoot that poorly although Auburn did have a lot to do with that.

Alabama can’t shoot free throws and turn the ball over. They will never beat a top 5 team.

We shot 74% to their 68% from the line and only had 7 turnovers which is a huge improvement from our usual 15 or so. Again what are we doing here? Did people not watch the game and are just parroting the usual reasons we struggle instead of why we actually lost today? We shot badly. That's it.

We honestly got some great shots, and the shot chart was fantastic.
So tired of Auburn fans complaining on foul/FT differential when their players continue to take a ton of mid range shots (and they've been elite at it to their credit). You can show them all the shot chart data and they'll still talk about Broome getting cheated because of the number of "2-pt FGA" as he proceeds to pull on his 7th fade away middy of the night (and makes it).

They did the same thing against Ole Miss. every time the Rebels got on a run and got within a bucket, Auburn would drill a three and next thing you know they’re back up 7 or so.
Auburn is a really, really good team. Pains me to say that but they have a really good chance to win the whole thing because they have so many different ways to beat you. Their roster is also two years older than everyone else. That kind of explains their resiliency. If they don’t make the Final Four, Pearl should be embarrassed.

Comes down to 3 pointers. They made them, we didn’t. Look at the score. We make any 2 3 pointers and it’s a tie game.

Wonder why Sherrell didn’t play? Coaches just thought it was a bad matchup?

The drop coverage killed tonight. The same as the Houston and Oregon games. Teams with elite mid range shooters will take that shot all game. It’s a gimme.
On the other hand we’ve seen the same issues all year and ignored them mostly. Stevenson is very timid and will have issues against physical teams.
Sears seems like a great kid but is limited athletically and is a liability defensively. His turnovers are backbreaking due to him being our eldest guard. May need a minute reduction or change of position to be fully effective this season.
Nelson is a talented player but a true headcase on the court. He’s clumsy and frail and gets bullied a lot. His turnovers are also backbreaking because most of them are due to him not focusing.
I feel it’s time to try a different starting lineup of Holloway, Youngblood, Reid, Dioubate, and Cliff. This lineup gives us length, shooting and rebounding plus a true point guard in Holloway. Sears, Nelson and Philon would be a great second group.

Seemed like every time Bama went on a run Auburn would always answer with a stop and a big shot or two. They are a tough and damn good basketball team. Coleman sounded electric from the couch. Think Bama bounces back Wednesday and kicks Mizzous arse

Launching contested threes early in the shot clock without a paint touch is essentially a turnover.

People on this board have their favorites and that’s fine but when one whole unit plays like shite call it out not just one player

The university has got to do something about this.
