This thread did not age well.

braves doing what the braves do in the playoffs. they made the playoffs, they're satisfied

Doesn't seem like that to me at all. This looks passionate to me and not at all satisfied.

What's there to bitch about? This happens almost every time the Braves make the playoffs. I think most die hard and casual fans saw this coming, they were just in denial about it.

I know a lot of Braves fans and I can't say that any of them expected to lose to the Cardinals.

It would be hard to put that guy back in the lineup short of one tough discussion about ever seeing the field again. Very disappointing coming from such a young star on the team.

So you want to pull our 21 year old superstar in the playoffs? He's 21. He is going to make mistakes.

Anyone Feel Like Bitching About The Braves?
This is Braves baseball!!! I go back to the days of Dale Murphy and Bob Horner and taking L's. Then witnessed "worst to first!" Cut out of a class at UA on a Tuesday night to make sure I was watching the Braves bring home a World Series title in '91, only to see them lose Game 7 on some baserunning blunders. '95 was the anomaly!!!

You just seems like a really bad fan. Hard to find many teams who have been as successful as us since 1991.

BamaGradinTn

Next game, the STL starter needs to throw four at Acuna's ear hole, and the Braves need to stay in the dugout if he charges the mound.

Jesus. This is awful.

quote:

More BamaGradinTn

It's a huge part. Dumb to try to run on Yadi in the first. Pitch bounces, and Molina still throws him out by a mile. Snit confirmed he went on his own. That was at least one run. Then his 300 foot single may have cost another.

So you want the guy with 37 sb this year to not try and steal when he thinks he can be successful? It's part of the game and could have helped us score an early run.

You're correct, the thread - according to the title - did not age well, and for that I am thankful.

Thread is aging perfectly right now. Stranded bases loaded for 2 straight innings with a 1 run lead and now the Cards have tied the game in the 8th. They could’ve easily put this game away twice already.

Live and die by the long ball. Should have bunted Acuna to third with no outs

They’ll probably crush one off Teheran here and send us to 5 in Atlanta.

Of all the players that could be killing the team I never would've guessed Freddie Freeman but... he is killing the Braves in that four hole.

Snit just keeps bringing in pitchers till he finds one to cough it up. Newk and tomlin both rollen along but gotta find a pitcher that's gonna cough it up.

Coin flip game five, but with Folty being a bit of a headcase I'm not too optimistic

The veterans on this team are not pulling their weight offensively. McCann, Freeman, and Markakis have become liabilities at the plate.

Markakis needs to be benched for Duvall .

Guy isn't hitting, terrible range and arm.

You’re a better man than I. I can’t even bring myself to watch game 5 on TV much less go to the game (if I had tix).

This will be the 4th time I've seen an opponent celebrate on our field - 2003 Cubs, 2010 Giants, 2018 Dodgers, 2019 Cardinals.

It's always a fun time.

The middle of our lineup (3-5) is now 7/48 (.146), 1 HR, 3 RBI and 22 men left on base.

Twenty. Two. In 4 games.

That's it. That's the bottom line.

Exactly George. I never thought I’d have to say the words “Freddie Freeman is a liability at the plate”, but he is. Granted it may be because of his injury, but it’s bad.

I was cringing every time he came up. He swears it isn't the injury, so maybe it just so happens to be one of his bi-yearly 10 days stretches where he can't hit the broad side of the barn.........but shite did he pick a bad time to start that streak.

Those guys either step up Wednesday or they don't. That's really the only chance we have to win - that or hope that Folty throws another masterpiece, which is way too much to reasonably ask for.

I'll be there, I'll be hoping for the best, but we all know how this is going to end. And it's going to be the worst one of these in a long time.

It would definitely rank as a top 3 implosion in the past 30 years of Braves baseball.

And that is not an easy Top 5 list to crack.
