According to my source they still might go their seperate ways from Bama, but he says there is a distinct possibility they both stay. I’m not claiming my source is a direct insider, but he is connected and has given me credible information in the past. I almost hope to see Quinnen move on for his own sake, but we’ll see.

Jalen may stay, redshirt next year, and try to beat out Taulia and Paul Tyson in 2020.

My source tells me Quinnen will not stay if he gets a first round grade like anticipated.

I agree, common sense does tell us this.

Quinnen wants to stay. All the juniors are talking about staying because they have a chance to be on back to back to back championship teams. But wanting to stay and turning down guaranteed millions are two different things.

Yep, you have to go when the time is right. Timing is everything.

Imagine the Baha Boys or Shaggy not taking their shot in the early 2000s.

I'll be happy either way. Considering EVENTUAL playing time, because the NFL caliber athletes leave soon, is one of our weapons in recruiting. If you're a 5 star recruit and Alabama already has the 5 and 4 star recruits from the last two years, you can at least take some solace that they could all be in the league by your junior year.

The last team to win even a share of a national title 3 years in a row is Southern California in 1931, 1932 and 1933... the Trojans only recognize 31 and 32 in their records though.

Cornell and Cal would achieve a similar feat in 1920, 1921 and 1922, undefeated all three years. and before then it happened a number of times with the Ivy League being pretty much the only game in town and a bunch of shared "titles"

But no team, since 1869 has ever been the undisputed National Champion 3 years in a row..... ever.

If Alabama wins it all this year and repeats in 2019,

I'll honestly have a weird feeling of, "well now what?"

I'd wager that Jalen wants to develop his game as much as humanly possible up to his invitation to the NFL combine. Both if those are in the bag if he stays at Bama through next year.

If just 3 or 4 of Quinnen, Thompson, Raekwon, Mack, Jonah, Jacobs, and Irv come back for 2019 we will have the best roster since 2001 Miami, and maybe even better.

I can see 2 coming back at most though. Raekwon and Mack are the only two who could get their stock any higher.

Mack and 99 are not ready yet nor will they be first round picks.

Former NFL RB coach told me Jacobs is a future NFL player but not a 1 or 2 round pick right now. His versatility he said is what all he does, not just as a pure RB.

I hope these 3 at least return.

Pretty much every scout I follow has Mack as the #1 inside LB in the draft. At worst he is 2 behind White. I also doubt with his injury that he wants to wait another year. This is a very deep TE draft. If Irv waits till next year, he will be undisputed #1 IMO.

As much as I’d love to have Quinnen back. That would be really, really dumb.

He’s being mocked in the top 5 picks by most. You’re not going to upgrade much more than that man.

I don’t think they will stay, but if they did ?? That 2020 NFL Draft would be littered with Bama players. Would probably set some records.

Kind of hope they are focused on back to back at this point. With the way this team has played this year, anything short of 15-0 would be very disappointing. And it ain’t in the bag yet.

All the money in the world cant buy you that last year back of playing CFB.

Money isnt the only thing in the world to everyone. Lets say he tears his ACL...might cost him millions...but he will still make millions.

Guarantee you there are lots of guys out there now who regret leaving college early(not for a stupid degree but for the college life) and would pay millions to have that year back.

This would be the absolute dumbest thing in my opinion. I don't think Hurts would be able to beat out one of those guys anyway, but if he did, it would be the worst possible thing for Alabama. With the new transfer rule, good QBs will not wait two years to get a starting job. At a place like Alabama, you might be able to convince them to sit one year, but definitely not two. If you start Jalen as a fifth year senior, then Taulia and Tyson both transfer and we are left with no one.
