Curious how this injury will impact his performance throughout the season. Hoping its not something he has play through just to find out he gets surgery right after the season is over. Will DeBoer sit him if he cannot go at 100%? Can he afford to with the limited depth at the position?

Full on speculation but I think he sits next week and then they play it by ear for Wisky

He may have to focus on technique and getting his feet into another gear so that he's not relying solely on being the biggest human on the field so much which clearly he's been able to do probably his entire life.

Maybe this forces him to get better. :glass half full perspective:

Some people love to pronounce doom and gloom. They claim to have sources but they just make the crap up. Glad to hear the good news.

No insider information but just by listening to DeBoer in the postgame, this sounded like something the medical staff had already made a prognosis and it was mostly about seeing how it goes this week in practice.

My reckon is he doesn't play against USF but will likely play against Wisconsin and definitely play against Georgia.

Turns out my sources (watching the post game press conference and reading between the lines) were right on the money.

Proctor update from DeBoer when asked whether Proctor will be able to play on Sat:

quote:

“He’s working toward it,” DeBoer said. “We’ll have to see right toward the end of the week. If it were up to him, he’d probably be out there. But we’ve got to be smart, and that means in these days earlier in the week, we’ve got to be smart and careful. He’s doing really well. He’s pretty much living in the training room. He’s got strong aspirations to get on the field as fast as possible. I can’t say one way or the other where that would be as of right now with still three days left before we play.”

He clearly has a connection on the team's medical staff.
