I met some of his family in Hawaii and they are all in on Bama. Tua had some influence too.

60-2 for Russell. I honestly thought it would be closer. I’m happy that it’ll be either next season. I’m a big Austin Mack fan and I think he has tons of potential, but Russell has that It factor. He’s a proven winner at the high school level. Ty Simpson was a great representative for our program but he needs great players around him and our offense had holes. I believe Russell will disguise those weaknesses a little better and create plays on his own when protection breaks down.

Either guy could probably get a big paycheck from the Viles right now. I’m glad they are sticking around, at least I think we’re safe.

I like Mack. I think reps matter. Mack has been in the system longer. I think he's the guy, and I think he understands what the system should look like. He's mobile. He can make all the throws. I don't see him regressing as the year progresses.
