wasting energy. And with a runner on third the first baseman has to run down to cover home. I cant believe the AU coaches feel like this is a good waste of energy. Have they been doing it all year? This rule will change next year as right now the pitch clock does not start until the pitcher has the ball. Abusing the rule.

I just searched Twitter and she's been doing it since at least March 15th (I didn't bother continue to scroll through tweets beyond that):

If tweet fails to load, click here. But she can seemingly throw longer distances just fine? Otherwise, why not just steal as much as possible and make her make the throws?
ETA: If no one is on base, why does she still have to walk it out? A throwing error shouldn't matter in that situation

Phew. This team doesn't make anything easy, but at least we beat fAU 3-2 and advance to face USCe tomorrow.

Pitch count does not start until the pitcher gets the ball. So it appears this is a coaching strategy to slow the game down. Absolute bush league

could have scored more in that first inning with runners on second and third with one out and the next two outs were awful outs

No but that sweet, sweet money from hosting a regional at Rhoads means the committee will do everything they can to put us top 16.

This loss more than likely put Bama out as host. South Carolina will probably get the invitation. Guess we'll have to wait til Sunday to find out though.
