How in hades name do you score 13 runs in one game and only score 3 more in the next two. There is zero consistency with pitching and hitting. Fire the dam lot of them yesterday Greg.

With that being said please note I am hitting the sarcasm button

Alabama softball enters the 2025 SEC Softball Tournament as the No. 10 seed and will open play on Tuesday, May 6 vs. No. 15 seed Auburn on the SEC Network 35 minutes after the conclusion of the preceding Ole Miss vs. Missouri game.

Alabama owns a 46-29 (.613) all-time record in the SEC Tournament, including a 42-26 (.618) mark under Head Coach Patrick Murphy. The Crimson Tide has won six tournament titles, doing so in 1998, 2003, 2005, 2010, 2012 and 2021. Alabama is 6-3 all-time vs. Auburn at the SEC Tournament, last meeting at the conference tournament on May 9, 2018 in Columbia, Mo., a 6-4 Tide victory.

The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to play No. 7 seed South Carolina on Wednesday, May 7 approximately 35 minutes following the conclusion of the 4 p.m. CT game between Florida and either Ole Miss or Missouri.

10th out of 16 teams. How the mighty hath fallen. But let’s keep Murphy around until we’re all the way down at the bottom of the league.

I dont care either way but Da Bear had a few lean years near the end. Murph appears to have earned the right to go out in his own way. Just last year us fans had given him up for dead and he went to OKC and was not 2 and done

Haven't really been a SEC contender since 2021. DA Bear won a conference championship the year before he retired and a National Championship 3 years before he retired.

Alabama softball is no longer an elite SEC program hasn't really been since 2016. Fouts lead Alabama to elite years in 2019 and 2021, but that has been it.

If Greg was going to pull that trigger, he would have done so. It is a non-revenue sport that has loyal followers and former players who adore Murph. I am not saying I want him around but his goodwill at Bama will keep him his job. We can wine with our cheese all day long, but Greg is not going to show him his walking papers.

I think the pitching coach could be let go to be quite honest. There seems to be some sort of disconnect between him and the battery. Murphy has started overruling him and sending him out to the mound to reset.

Braud has seemingly reformed the offense in her second season on board. It’s not an elite enough offense to win it all with this kind of pitching situation. However, it probably could’ve won it all with a few of the Fouts era teams.

I’d say he has the goodwill to make a pitching coaching change and see what happens. At this juncture I feel like the goal is to hand this program off to Braud in a few years anyway.

Would you say the same about Oats if he had 11 SEC championships and 13 Elite 8 Appearances in 26 seasons? Serious question. I have never seen a HOF coach be this disrespected ever.

Ok, I’ll go with you on the “Murph has earned the right…” thing. He built that program from nothing into a national power. For the love of God, look around and realize you are riding it all the way back down and you’re not helping. Step away from the game gracefully with your legacy mostly intact. Don’t be one of these idiots that hang around too long and tarnish or flat out destroy your accomplishments.

Exactly. Who cares if he built the program from basically nothing if he takes us right back there before he leaves?

This fAU catcher with the yips is wild. Can't believe she's running the ball out to the pitcher after every pitch.
