This article is completely misrepresenting what was said. Once Purdy is healthy he is the starter, whenever that is, but when Shanahan said Lancd was splitting reps with Darnold he didn't mean evenly. Trey is going to get the majority of first team reps and given every benefit to be the starter if Purdy can't go unless he completely regresses

Mac needs to get out to New England ASAP. There is no salvaging this, one of Belichick's flaws is he will let spite blind him to making winning decisions. This year will be another cluster in Foxborough if he stays.

Hard to blame Mac for going outside the building when he was being coached by a special teams coordinator and a defensive coordinator. The reality is he just needs to have a strong season.

Maybe BOB can protect him but Belichick has a history of basically sabotaging and icing out his own players. It is going to be ugly up here this year win or lose.

I think it'd be best for Mac to get traded. Belichick has been a real dick. He really screwed the team up with last season's ridiculous moves.
As to what team...I have no idea. Colts maybe? Houston and Carolina will take BY and Stroud off the board. I'd personally rather have Mac than Richardson or Levis under center, plus they'd get to use their first round pick on another impact player because NE wouldn't get a first rounders in any trade.
