Out of all of the players that have come through in the Saban era, Levi has the best story. One of my favorite Bama players of all time.

Julio getting released. Wasted year in Tennessee. Hopefully he can get healthy and this doesn't signal the end.

Hopefully Julio realizes his days of being a top 5 paid WR are over. He's got a couple of good seasons left if he can make it through a season without hamstring issues. Sign a 2 year incentive laden contract and go chase a ring with the Chiefs, Packers or Patriots.

I’m a bit worried about the Pats competing in the super near future.
I don’t know a ton about their roster but Judon and JC Jackson are gone and the offense still needs a talent upgrade I think.

OJ Howard to the Bills.
I'll never understand Tampa Bay turning down trade offers/setting price too high, mothballing him on the depth chart, and then let him walk in free agency.
I don't think OJ is a good football player, but it's dumb they didn't just unload him...

Isn't Judon still with the Pats?
I do think Buffalo is getting better for 2022 and I don't see the Patriots doing the same yet. They have a huge hole to fill at CB now and they still need a legit WR1. Maybe Julio could still be that guy for a couple of healthy years. I figure they go WR or CB with their first round draft pick and then need to address the other position in FA (but the elite players are being snapped up quickly). Then they just lost both starting guards...and the backups are the guys that started the first 3-4 games last year when their OL stunk. So I don't really know what New England is doing. They spent big last off season, but outside of Judon and maybe Hunter Henry, they didn't get much return on those FA dollars.
As for OJ...at least he gets to hop straight to another legit SB contender. Maybe he'll get it going in (I think) the final year of his rookie contract before FA. He really rode that big NC game performance to a first round draft pick...but he should still be a matchup nightmare at TE... we'll see.

Yeah I never got that either. He’s your no.3 TE and you’re turning down trade offers for him?

Levi Wallace and Cam Sims have both done well for themselves after not being heralded leaving college. Both made themselves millionaires.
2 years/$8 million is a steal for a starting cornerback these days.
I wonder if AJ will latch on as someone's backup QB or if he's hit the end of the road. Even if it is, he's pocketed over $15 million pre-taxes in his career. Not bad at all. If Atlanta does end up with Happy Ending, keeping AJ around might make sense since there's familiarity with him previously backing up Watson in Houston.

Watson was just traded to the Browns according to PFF.
I don’t know how many years are required but I hope AJ is in the NFL long enough to get the pension.

I saw where he now says he wants to play for the Browns. Odd since two days ago he told them they were out. He wanted a new contract to agree to the trade clause. I bet Atl and NO tolls him no.

Getting $230 million guaranteed will make you reconsider. The Browns are an awful organization.

Their idiots. 45 mil a year for w guy who hasn't played football in a year and faces a probable suspension to start the year. The value of things is so skewed in today's society.

The last time Watson played, he lead his team to 5 wins. I thought elite QBs were supposed to "elevate the team" around them.
As for the NFL pension...nice to get it, but a guy who's made $15 million shouldn't be depending on a pension lol. And it's really not THAT much considering what the actual salaries are.

You’re right. I just looked it up and they get about $43,000 a year. I assumed they would get more than that.

Yeah...I think the pension is really for the old timers who are now elderly and played in an era when salaries weren't outrageous. It was a bad look for the NFL to have 85 year old ex players eating cat food.

Falcons trade Ryan, have no money to spend, no real recievers, and sign Mariotta.
Looks like they are set up to tank next year. Bryce possibly number one overall to the Falcons?
