Not sure if folks are interested in the various high school football scores - for those who are, this looks to be a comprehensive list:

Is Sparkman actually going to be good this year? Lately we've been more of a basketball school. Impressive result regardless.

When you have a state that has one of the top 5 biggest metropolitan areas in the United States and an NFL team in its backyard, I imagine that would be the case.

Tuscaloosa County looked impressive against Central-Tuscaloosa. 44-0. They’re in the most difficult region in the state 7A-3 but maybe they’ll make some noise this year. Go Wildcats!

I know this thread is mostly gonna be 6A-7A type discussion so I’ll rant to myself about 1A ball

Maplesville HS needs to make a change asap. They suck now. Started the season unranked due to their poor performances over the last couple years and they’ve now started the season 0-2 with blowout losses and one of them came to their rival Isabella.

For anyone unfamiliar, Maplesville has more 10 wins seasons (28) than any other school in the state. Hoover is second with 27. I used to play at MHS and it was ran to a standard just like Bama. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about this coach now and it’s getting worse. I miss Coach Hubbert being there smh.

Yeah surprised me to see them start 0-2 they usually don't loose that all year. My buddy at work gives me hell about my cchs tigers but now I'm giving it back to him.

I use to work with a guy from Maplesville and he was big into HS football program and use to love talking about their success. Sad to hear they have fallen on hard times.
